The video is on sexism, but I think that this comment to it is why so many politicians who make Reagan and the Bushes look like moderates are getting elected. Voters with these views vote for them. I try not to go around to call people stupid, but the people whom this person described have clearly lost it.
This administration must see potential democrats coming into the country in the case of The Bahamas. Hence, I think it is why they are acting they way they are.
I overhear ignorant things everyday working within an affluent conservative neighborhood (here's a few examples):
Two guys drinking after their wives had yoga practice "Why doesn't anybody make fun of Elizabeth Warren? I f***ing hate that woman!"
A man from South Carolina joking to a female schoolteacher paying for her drink "Just like you liberals, you want someone else to do the work for you"
Off duty female cops talking to male off duty cops about having to go to work the next day "I dont care about listening to how black people are oppressed by white people, yadda yadda but we're never included about what we're going through"
A country singer before singing 'Family Tradition' "If you got a problem with my country, I got something in my truck that can help you leave"
Obviously I am some stranger on the internet so you take what I say with a grain of salt, but I will honestly admit that this is what I overhear on a regular basis at my job and its simply out of the fact that the people in my neighborhood are beneficiaries of the way income distribution presently works and these people get to easily grief inconveniences they feel about other socio-economic groups having problems which they feel they have to fix because they believe they're more honest, harder working, and under appreciated. By being incapable of understanding outside of their own scope what systematic problems effect these other groups, they are far too rigid to believe open minded women are too naive to understand the conservatives' need for material economic gain as a bottom line is the only thing worth considering for policy, and if other categories of people being (Native Americans, immigrants, LBGTQ, etc) a victim to their process, it is an obstacle and interferes with their demographics ownership of the American system. They are adamant seperatists who believe nonconformists and unconventional thinkers belong beneath or outside the government's established priorities and any contributions simply benefit themselves and not back into their own hands.
