We are headed into a recession
« on: August 14, 2019, 10:07:37 AM »
The Dow slid more than 400 points Wednesday after the bond market, for the first time in over a decade, flashed a warning signal that has an eerily accurate track record for predicting recessions.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/08/14/investing/dow-stock-market-today/index.html

My advice to the everyday person is to cut your spending, delay taking on debt, and increase your emergency fund, which is typically 3 months salary in savings.

That's  great  news .   We'll  be  out  of  it  by this  time  next  year .  Your  president , Donald  John  Trump  will  be  able  to  touting his  leadership  is  the  reason  we  are  out  of  one .   It will  guarantee  his  reelection .

When did recessions start working themselves out that fast? It took Obama almost 10 years to lead us out of the last one. And trust, once we go into recession, the average Joe is not going to feel it until around election time. When you consider most economist are blaming your president, Donald J. Trump, for creating this one, it is going to be rough sailing going forward. Also, since your president blinked on the tariffs yesterday, China now has the upper hand in negotiations. This will continue to make him look very weak on the world stage.

You sound like a GD fool.  trump companies went bankrupt 6 times and he couldn't save any of them, how the hell can he stop a recession????  I guess this is Obama's fault.

Interesting perspectives on this one. When the recession does hit, he will deflect blame. Let’s remember he inherited a budget surplus and a booming economy. He repealed much of what his predecessor enacted to pull us out of the last recession. This is all on him. No deflection or blame for anyone not associated with this orange Manchurian.

I said "you sounded like a GD fool"  I didn't call you a GD fool.  Maybe you need to work on your comprehension skills so you would know the difference. ::)  The one's that lasted less than a year didn't have trump (mr. bankrupt) presiding over them now did they?????

But he will try to cast the blame on someone else.  Y and the other dumb a**  trump supporters will believe him no matter what.

He did not inherit a surplus.  North Carolina has a surplus.  The United States of America doesn't.

What you call a surplus is you coming home to your wife sitting at the desk in your house.  There are a high stack of bills.  You have your bonus check in your hand.  You show your wife the bonus check and boldly say, "Honey we have a surplus! "

Y, this is such a joke. The media conned up the Trump/Russia collusion BS with the Dem-O-Craps. Then they went to whore and porn star tip... Then they went to obstruction route... They hammer the Trump's a racist route... Now, the economy is getting ready to tank into a recession. These M...f..ers are funny as hell. Trump continues onto election on Nov. 3 2020. I am looking forward to his inauguration the following January. Um. I wonder what other histrionics we'll have on along the way. These dyam fools.

Welp.....let’s see......

Things proven as facts and true.....
1. Russia meddled with the 2016 election
2. Trump paid Stormy hush money
3. Trump obstructed justice during the investigation
4. He consistently tweet and say flat out racist and divisive comments about blacks and minorities.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
