I'm not sure if the field is shaped to be able to hold a football field.

What would you suggest is a good solution?

What does this have to do with WSSU?  This was a St Augs home game, and with the Shaw deal St Augs double booked their stadium.  So now the game will be played closer to Winston and WSSU gets part of the gate for what was initially supposed to be an away game.  So how is WSSU slippin?

If both sides publicly state that it's a win-win situation, so be it.  But since this is St. Aug's home game, it seems likely that a location closer to Raleigh would've been proper.  Now that it's in High Point, does that mean WSSU gets a larger share of the gate?  Or does St. Aug still claim total receipts?  I'd be willing to bet there's an adjusted (split?) payout for both institutions.

I wish John Dell would've delved deeper in his story...for example, since this game will now be less than 30 minutes from WSSU's campus, will WSSU's students get in the game free?

From what i was told , it can be modified. So it can be the future home of HPU football

.....agree with WARPAINT wholeheartedly on this one.  How does anything about this subject equate to WSSU "slipping?"

:snicker You know some people love talking smack about other schools.... WSSU is NOT slipping as it's been stated already. The move to HP actually benefits WSSU as well as SAU.

I'm still confused....this is a clear win for WSSU in terms of the move. We both (Shaw & St.Aug) had to change home games to accommodate the season. St.Aug gets to stay in the state of NC so it's a win for them as well.

I agree with you, but St. Aug should get most of the ticket if not all of it. The payout should be what it would have been if the game was played at their place. Fair is fair.

St Augustine needs to send an advance team to give tickets to students at Andrews, Central, SW, and Ragsdale High

What would you suggest is a good solution?

Does the conference set the schedule in the CIAA?  If so, then how in the world did they not consider double booking when setting the schedule?  Why couldn't Shaw set their homecoming for the end of September against Ed Waters?

Shaw only has four home games including the pseudo-home game against St. Augs; so I understand they are trying to give them home games.  However, they are the ones renting the stadium and should be the ones inconvenienced by double-booked weekends.  Now, St. Aug has to play WSSU as a road team for a second year instead.

If I were a St. Aug season tix holder I'd be pissed.  We should have five home games.

Shaw/St Aug fans speak on it.
