I remember that we used to count on beating Miles.  Anyone has the record?  MB1?

I would not be surprised if Savannah State is "the" team to beat in the east.
Don't be surprised they currently are and will be unless they fall apart.

Que,

I don’t see the big deal here.  Even you admit that you made an ASSumption by implying that a few MEAC posters thought that SSU would run through the SIAC merely given their prior affiliation with the MEAC.

Clearly no one made such a claim and that was bought to your attention.  Posters may have had other reasons for thinking the pre season polls were full of error and disrespect.

The logic that SSU mere return to the SIAC legitimizes the preseason rankings has no basis.  When WSSU returned to the CIAA in 2010 they were not predicted to finish last.  If any team returning or joining a conference is automatically predicted to finish last, then out of fairness why even include them in the polls their inaugural year.  crazy:

2010 CIAA Football Predicted Order of Finish
1.    Fayetteville State
2.    Shaw
3.    Bowie State
4.    Elizabeth City State
5.    Virginia Union
6.    Winston-Salem State
7.    Saint Augustine's College
8.    Virginia State
9.    Chowan
10.  Johnson C. Smith
11.  Saint Paul's
12.  Livingstone
13.  Lincoln (Pa.)

South Division 2010
1.    Fayetteville State
2.    Shaw
3.    Winston-Salem State
4.    Saint Augustine's College
5.    Johnson C. Smith
6.    Livingstone

Punchy here’s some PROOF to bolster your argument.  Thanks.

Well one difference might be that you are not in the SIAC yet and WSSU was immediately let back in. Or it could be the fact the that WSSU is in the CIAA and not the SIAC (where fcuked up stuff always happens) But its no big deal.

Couldn't agree more.  Trying to make sense out of the senseless and getting all emotional over a preseason poll that has proved as I said in a earlier post not to be worth the paper its written on!!!

;D. Yeah that part.  Low-key, some folk still trying to rationalize it  :lmao:

"Well that's the SIAC not the CIAA". "Of course it doesn't make sense...it's the SIAC".  Well, duh that's what the original poster kinda said.   :lmao:  Ya Think.

But umm yeah but no, we are officially in the SIAC https://thesiac.com.  It's really a THING.  It's not provisional, delayed, or conditional.  Kinda like what you said "immediate."

Now what we can't do is "immediately" compete for a championship given the NCAA sanctions.

Please stop.

"In advancing Savannah State, the committee agreed the school will be required to satisfy the standard requirements of provisional year two, which are more rigorous than those of year one. Further, the committee imposed additional requirements — such as increased rules education, presidential engagement and status updates to the committee throughout the year — and noted that the school may be required to repeat year two if progress is not made.

Much like the experience of the newest SIAC member Spring Hill College, Savannah State could have its reclassification application delayed, pushing their full membership in the SIAC back another year."

Spring Hill was also on the site before they were official.  If you find something from the NCAA which says you are full members holler back but SIAC website???? Funny how their ranking was a problem by now they are gospel.
