Attendance is down at all levels across the country. People would rather tailgate at homecoming than to actually attend the game. I have read that it will only get worse.

I think you're definitely right about that. I attribute that to the newer alumni 30ish and younger plus folks who just show up for parties like they do at the CIAA basketball tournament. It is what it is I guess.

So anyone notice how much we draw vs everyone else, looks like NCCU played for a crowd less than a high school rainy night. Was that 1000 including the teams, band and cheerleaders?

In those SWAC folks eyes, A&T never travels and we don't have a fan base. Numbers however show an attendance spike everywhere we go. But hey , let them think what they want

Too bad there's not a spike in fan in Aggie Stadium.

If fans in the general area arent going to physically attend the games, they aren't going to pay money to watch them online.

HBCUs with declining attendance need to stop being lazy and reconnect with their fan base and improve the Gameday experience. A lot of this just boils down to pure laziness on our parts, especially from these research Intensive universities.

We may need to look at our prices.  Game day $30 may be a bit much or the community we serve.  I just saying.

Why the focus on our attendance when we are generally top 5 amongst HBCU's? Season to date we're averaging 18,141 which I believe at this moment is tops in the MEAC. Anyways here's a ten year look back on our attendance ranking amongst HBCU's. Not too shabby when you consider there are 9 football playing HBCU's in this state. Who else has that much competition for the same dollars?

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support.

The pandemic has financial consequences, especially for Black-owned businesses. Ad revenue is shrinking so we are asking you directly for your financial support. You can use the Cash App and contribute to $onnidan or process your donation through Square
