NFL: expansion playoffs - not the regular season
« on: June 04, 2019, 04:08:54 PM »
Instead of expanding the regular season to 18 games; how about expanding the playoffs instead from 12 to 14.

The top seeds from each conference -- the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots - have the week off.
Instead of joining those teams on a bye, however, the No. 2 seed Green Bay Packers are hosting the No. 7 Philadelphia Eagles in the first round. The AFC's No. 2 seed is also in action, so the Denver Broncos are preparing to host the No. 7 Houston Texans.

Wildcard Weekend:
AFC 2 vs 7 @1PM
AFC 3 vs 6 @4PM
AFC 4 vs 5 @7PM
NFC 2 vs 7 @1PM
NFC 3 vs 6 @4PM
NFC 4 vs 5 @7PM

Divisional Weekend:
NFC #1 vs 4/5 winner early game
NFC 2/7 winner vs 3/6 winner late game

AFC #1 vs 4/5 winner early game
AFC 2/7 winner vs 3/6 winner late game

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
