Virginia Union University, CIAA and Harlem Globetrotter Hall of Fame Member "Jumpin'" Jackie Jackson passed away on Saturday, May 4, in Brooklyn, N.Y.
 
Jackson, who turned 79 in January, introduced the slam-dunk to college basketball when he played for VUU from 1958-61.
 
According to his daughter, Christy Luxe, Jackson's death was sudden and unexpected.
