Jag has a point -= if we keep money in our own communities believe me they will figure a way for reparations-

Bingo, we control our own destiny. We have to figure a way to get everyone to buy into a common cause  like other groups do. I find it very frustrating to see Africans Americans on FOX supporting their agenda. We are forever working against one another.  :brickwall:

That is fine if you know it and work to correct things. Most of us won't do that, we simply dig in. Check the Morehouse thread for an example.

We also need to start teaching the value of ownership to our children.

I used to be an engineer for a small city in Virginia. During that time, I was an activity member of the local fraternity chapter.  Just recently, I attended a social event there.  I was introduced to a few new brothers who had moved there after I left.  One brother was a doctor.  The first thing the brother who introduced me to him said was that him and his wife had a big house and she was a doctor too. We have to separate job titles and material things from the practical application on how things should be done.  When I look back at all the great scientific minds, such Newton, Einstein, etc., they were more than just great scientists.  They were people with many educational backgrounds who were capable of putting their academic talents to some practical use. We as people have to get back to creative thinking or thinking algorithmically to solve problems.  House size and job title means nothing if it's just another means to make more money to pay out to others.

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.

As a result we are coming to you directly for your financial support>

Please consider supporting our efforts to foster free and open discussion of current issues as they relate to the topics you are interested in.
