I used to be an engineer for a small city in Virginia. During that time, I was an activity member of the local fraternity chapter. Just recently, I attended a social event there. I was introduced to a few new brothers who had moved there after I left. One brother was a doctor. The first thing the brother who introduced me to him said was that him and his wife had a big house and she was a doctor too. We have to separate job titles and material things from the practical application on how things should be done. When I look back at all the great scientific minds, such Newton, Einstein, etc., they were more than just great scientists. They were people with many educational backgrounds who were capable of putting their academic talents to some practical use. We as people have to get back to creative thinking or thinking algorithmically to solve problems. House size and job title means nothing if it's just another means to make more money to pay out to others.
