Serena cant beat black women who match her athleticism on a consistent basis. Its fine and all how she was able to win a ton of slams against twiggy white women, but her inconsistencies show up whenever a true challenge is placed against her.

She's like Pele. Very good against white people...not so much against true opposition.

Naomi Osaka had her coming and going. Had her crying about being "A mother"

US Tennis is dead

You talking about a young up and coming player vs an older woman who almost died during child birth ,who is also constantly battling blood clots , not fair . Serena won against all competition regardless of race . A young Serena vs a young Osaka is the only fair comparison ,stop it .

s**t Neymar -  if there were more blacks in major league baseball in the 1940's Jackie Robinson would never have  been chosen by Branch Richie.  The Negro Leagues had players far superior than Jackie- but he was chosen mainly for his TEMPERMENT - not his baseball skills. You sound and write like a truly misinformed person when it comes to American blacks- If you have not read and have not digested it yet- you need to read the " Isis Papers" by Dr. Francis Welsing- she was my psychiatry instruction at Howard Medical School.  Sports athletes can not choose whom they will compete against- they can only do their best against the opponents during that time.

I would not put Zina in the category with Althea Gibson.  Zina wasn't mentally tough enough or she wasn't talented enough to win majors and stay consistent at the top 10.

I actually think before the autoimmune disease Venus was the best athletes in the history of tennis with her speed, reach and play at the net.

With that being said Osaka was not born when Serena started playing professional tennis. I don't get the idea. This is not the first time Serena has been way down in a grand slam and many time came back and won. Osaka won I think the big Indian Wells tournament then could barely win a match. The fact Serena has come back and made two grand slam finals says more about her future than this loss does.

Serena is 5-1 all-time against Slone Stephens (2-time major champion)

With all the divisive rhetoric on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter, websites such as ours, especially message boards, are under the watchful eye of the Internet giants. And those giants are coming down hard on sites like this one due to the perception of the need for better "oversight".

We recognize the cultural conflict that exists and over the past few months we've been accused of allowing content in posts/threads that supposedly violates some advertiser's policies. Those threads weren’t an issue in the past, but for some reason, they are an issue now. And we are being penalized (financially) because of it.
