What do you think, breast feeding in public?

I feel breast feeding is one of the more natural things humans do. If folk get bent out of shape by seeing it,  they need to look the other way or move. My  mother breast fed my little sister, as kids we did not think anything of it.

Cap and JT..........I appreciate you bruthas comments because MY little girl, Ms. Strike, breastfeeds her now 5 months old baby, and it is one of the beautiful scenes of nature.

She does it “openly” in front of the baby’s father and her parents. But I have observed how she “discreetly” does it when others are present. Not quite sure what’s going on to cause offense in the story at the link.  :shrug:

I don’t really have a problem with it.   

Now do I just want to see your titty out?  Not really, but most women are very discreet - they cover the babies head and do what they need to do. 

But you know what?  Even if they do just pop that sucka out in the open and get the baby to latch on, YOU need to keep it moving.  Just don’t look.   Stay in your lane. 

I always say, “by the time you get through minding your OWN business, it will be time to go to bed”.

I breastfed my daughter, and  I  sometimes  breastfed her in public. But I would cover her head with a shawl or blanket. Like Strike 79’s daughter, I breastfed with my parents present, and they were extremely supportive.
I never got any negative comments or stares, most people would say something complimentary or positive.

Having lived and worked abroad, this isn’t given much thought outside of some prudes in the US who wanna make a huge deal of this. Most mothers who naturally fed their infants were mostly discreet and went about it in a private manner.

For me, it’s not a big deal at all and am astonished by those who demonstratively show outrage and disdain about it.
