Again, Porter needs to get rid of that offensive coordinator and bring the guy he had last year back. The play calling was horrible and he continues to run the ball with this white quarterback. This white boy can't run. I hope he doesn't return and goes back to Mississippi Valley with that crap. If it wasn't for our defense, we wouldn't been in the game. Congrats on the win Mother Tuskegee! But I wasn't impressed by you all either. You all played some sloppy ball on offense. Just like us, your defense kept you in the game. I hope we play you guys next year or whenever the rotation comes around. I miss the rivalry and there was a good crowd.

that's all...

Wildcats, let us be mindful that we have limited funds, so Porter does not have the ability to bring back our previous OC unless we raise the funds.  Let us be fair.  The QB is not calling the game, so he has to run the play that is called by the OC.  I feel that the offense will be better if we run from the I  formation sometimes because we have several great RBs and in a defensive game, it helps if you can run the ball well.

My sentiments exactly!   If we had a damn OC and a QB, the outcome might have been different, but oh well oh hell.

Congratulations TU!

I was pleased with my defense, but totally disgusted with the OC and QB play.  My prayer is that next year that QB is not in the rotation and we can give this man enough funds to hire a REAL OC - cuz the one we’ve got? He sucks.   Who the hell gets into a shotgun at the 2 yard line?   Just dumb....

Our QB has two throws - that’s it.  And my 89 year old grandma can run better than he can

Ok.   Looking forward to next year.   If we get a decent QB we should be back in the hunt.

The QB doesn’t call the plays but he can’t run the plays that he’s given either.   He’s just not that good plain and simple.  The backup QB?  The one that SHOULD be starting?  Much much better...I know it, the fans know it and quiet as it’s kept the team knows it too - but they respect our HC enough not to say it.

Extremely pleased with our HC - extremely displeased with our OC - and send that boy back to Miss Valley state or give him a clipboard and let that other QB play next year.

Optimistic about what 2018 will bring.

Valley Girl, I was stating the QB is from Mississippi Valley and our OC is from Benedict. Yes, we really need to get some funds together for Porter to hire a better OC because another year of him calling plays, my heart will not take it. I have enough to deal with my Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Falcons losing. I can't watch my Wildcats go backwards at this stage of the game.

that's all...

The last time that the offense scored was the beginning of the 3rd quarter of the homecoming game. Our offense didn't score in Columbus, not the game against Skegee. Come to think of it, our defense were the ones to score majority of the points in every game, or at least put the offense in very good field position. I'm still pissed about that game from Saturday. Although, I had stated earlier in the week, if it were left to our offense, particularly the quarterback, that we would lose.

what do you expect! You have around 11 or 12 scholarships. Coaches that are grossly underpaid and only 3 full time assistant coaches . You have coaches that are doing an outstanding job for what they lack . You should asking the AD ( who spends more time taking pictures and getting in the way than fundraising)what he is doing to make things better.  Like one FVSU poster keeps saying what are you the fans are doing to help the team meet your expectations.

You really wanna know?

We are slowly putting our money where our mouth is that’s what.  It takes time - for years we voted with our pocketbooks because we were dissatisfied, and now we are coming around.  Slowly, but surely.

Nobody is dissatisfied with Coach Porter - we are extremely pleased, which is why donations are up, but even with that, that QB just isn’t very good.   He’s not very mobile, has one or two sure throws, and once they stop those we are up the creek without a paddle. The backup (that’s already on the team) is better.

And it doesn’t take money for an OC to know you don’t go into a shotgun formation at the damn 2 yard line.  That’s just stupid.

We can agree that alums need to give more, especially for a capable OC.

And for the record - while our Alums certainly need to give more, as far as alumni giving goes FVSU Alums are one of the top HBCU’s giving back to their school.

Let’s not act like we are a bunch of bums.

First of all, how would you know how many scholarships we are providing to our student-athletes outside of the information that was provided in the media a year ago? Unless, you have friends or working with the coaching staff. Secondly, we never stated the coaches were not doing a good job. We are stating the obvious with our new OC and difference from last year to this year. Fort Valley isn't one of those schools that you wish to come to pretend you know football and the X's and O's. You will get your feelings hurt severely. Coach Porter is from Warner Robins and he knows what's up. Thirdly, we are not even going to discuss the person playing the role of an Athletic Director. He doesn't even wish to be there and I don't know why he applied for the position, if he is not willing to increase our corporate sponsorship and fundraising to elevate our programs. Many alums are fed up with him and some failed to assist him when it comes to the lack of financial requests he makes to the alumni. Trust me when I tell you we want him gone. But, we do love our athletes and our students and that is why we are making concerted efforts to increase financial support. Yes, we are doing more than in the past to combat the disparity financially and we support this administration in the transformation of Fort Valley State to what we know it has and can be for future generation Wildcats. With everything, things take time.

But, since you made it a point in championing for our athletics cause, on Tuesday, November 28, which is GivingTuesday, you wouldn't mind donating to our efforts. It's another campaign promoted by the National Alumni Association to get our grassroots activated by small donations to our students, student athletes, and Blue Machine Marching Band. So, I look for your donation.
