A FCS fan on twitter is losing his mind about A&T being ranked #6.  Clear folks are funny.

Courtesy: NC A&T Sports Information
Release: 10/23/2017

GREENSBORO (October 23, 2017) –
North Carolina A&T football is a top-10 program in both the media and coaches Division I-Football Championship Subdivision polls for the fifth time in program history.

The NCAA FCS Coaches and the STATS FCS Media polls were released on Monday. In the Coaches poll, the Aggies climbed five spots from last week to No. 6. The top team in the country is defending national champion James Madison (7-0). The Dukes are followed by North Dakota State (7-0), Jacksonville State (6-1), Central Arkansas (6-1) and Sam Houston State (6-1) in the top-5.

The Aggies have been ranked 25 straight weeks in the Coaches poll. The Aggies also jumped five spots in the Media poll to No. 7 behind No. 6 South Dakota (6-1). The top-5 of the media poll is identical to the Coaches poll.

I agree Decks, Its lofty praise and I think we are too high as well but its triggering the folks over an AGS and my petty is just too strong to not enjoy it a little bit...

Don't talk like that. Why aren't ya'll deserving to be ranked that high. Until someone beats ya'll who really knows how good you are? So, take the ranking and be proud of it. When one of our schools makes it to the top ten, its time for us all to support them... even if they are rivals.

I try to keep it real. Don't mistake that for me not supporting my team. I believe strength of schedule matters and the reality is we haven't played anyone with a record above .500. In addition we don't have Howard or Hampton on the schedule. That's not our fault but it's our reality. There's still a lot of football to be played and I think this Aggie team has a lot of room for improvement. If we keep winning perhaps that ranking will be justified at seasons end.

The Ram speaks the truth. They are fine with the rankings just as long as they are on top and we are in “our place”.

The same people that rank them rank us, so why aren’t we deserving of being ranked high. If they can’t deal with it, it’s on them. We sure as hell didn’t make the rules or control the rankings.

Like so many things this is about their feelings of superiority and complexes surrounding any challenges to it.

At the FCS level it’s two fold. They know nobody cares about their football teams. They got to be better than somebody. All they have is the playoffs and they cling to it.

It burns them up that our teams can get high rankings...play in sponsored nationally televised bowl games for big payouts...and we have said to heck with their system.

An HBCU being ranked high is a slap in the face for them because it reminds them of their true place in the college football world.

I say fugg them and the FCS playoff. If they could do something like the CB they would, but truth is they can’t. If some one wanted to sponsor the FCS playoffs like they do for the FBS playoff and bowl games they would...but they don’t.

They were saying the same thing about WSSU a few years ago. At first, we thought that there was no way we was that good. However, we started to believe and beating all those "deserving teams". Now we know what we are capable of. We just need to buy into the hype and it becomes real. When you tell people you are great, you become great.
