BETTER CALL SAUL is back tonight....

10:00 eastern on AMC!!!

We will see Jimmy become Saul Goodman and learn how he and Mike become involved with Gus Fring and the Salamanca's.

This should be the season where Saul turns the corner and "breaks bad".  :nod:

this show is very good.  Not sure if it will reach "Breaking Bad" status, but it's good.

Moves slower than Breaking Bad did... but the writing and acting is just as good.

Really enjoy this show. Finally caught up on season 2 on Netflix last week. Great characters and clever writing. Darkly humorous!

Having said that...I know this is a "Breaking Bad" prequel and that show got all kinds of accolades, but it never held my interest. I've tried watching that show several times and I always lose interest.  :shrug:

Maybe I'll give it a try again soon.

Just watched the "Better Call Saul" episode of Breaking Bad last night. Jimmy is all-in corrupt by the time of Breaking Bad! It'll be interesting to see his progression to how he got there!

He starts out as a penny ante con man in po-dunk Illinois; "Slippin Jimmy"... goes to jail... is rescued by his brother Chuck, the successful big-time Albuquerque Lawyer who gives him a job in the mailroom... goes to night school to earn his law degree... passes the Bar exam... and TRIES HIS DAMNDEST to make Chuck proud and be a good person.

The ironic thing is, during one of his earlier soliloquies Chuck mentions that Jimmy was trying to get to break down like a murder confession on an episode of Perry Mason.  :lol:

But here's the thing; even after COMPLETELY destroying chuck in the eyes of the State Bar and his ex-wife, Jimmy feels remorse.  Even though he REALIZES that Chuck both hates him AND was trying to take away his career in the law.

I'm still waiting to see where the "win at all costs and don't give a DAM about the consequences" Saul comes from.  :nod:
