Found this clip of me practicing a quartet song.

https://goo.gl/photos/i4qsq6ZfosnftDfk7

That spare tire was trying to play as we. :lol:

You rest your thumb on that E string instead of the front pickup.... That doesn't slow you down?

P.S: man that gut is ALMOST as big as mine. I cain't even hold my guitar anymore.  :no:
Actually that's the B string on a six string Bass. Not the best technique but it doesn't slow me down.  I developed carpal tunnel in both hands so I had to adjust my style to keep from having reduce pain. Sometimes my fingers would go numb.

B string. See; I know nothing about the 5 or 6 string bass.

But then, I haven't really picked up MY bass in over 20 years. I probably couldn't even change the battery, much less tune it.  :brickwall:

Speaking of 4 string basses... check this out:

 :nod:  :clap:

It will come back to you.   Go by your local music store and pick one up.   You'll be surprised at what you remember.

Pay attention. I have a bass.  ::)

Let me add two more too;

Bernard Edwards. Not flashy or fancy, but bruh could lay down some tight, funky lines.

Same for Randy Hope-Taylor... dude is a MACHINE. Just listen to some of his stuff with Incognito, then check out his own bands Congress and Cargo.  :clap:

I mean technically speaking Hope-Taylors performances are FLAWLESS.

You need to pay attention.  You haven't touched that bass in 20 years.  You can't tune it.  Which means you don't have a tuner.  It's obvious you don't know you can download an app and use your phone to tune your bass.  Your strings probably aren't any good either.  That's why you go to the music store.  The instruments are new.  You can jam with the staff and get a little bass recall.  If you really are a bass player.  Too bad your feeble mind couldn't comprehend that.

You still don't get it.  I'll make it easy for you.  I'm the guy not wearing a hat.  You are the guy wearing the hat and the fancy clothes.

Glad you FINALLY admitted that your dream is to be a po white trash white boy. We suspected as much.  ::)

But enough of your LAME comebacks... listen to this:

Other guys are good... but to me, NOBODY is as good as ^^^this^^^ man.  :clap: :bow: :clap:

But I DO disagree with his opinion on mistakes. In a way, his point about pushing yourself is correct... but a guy who pushes himself to the absolute wall and hits every note CLEANLY should not be criticized because he didn't make a mistake.  :nono2:

Perfection should NEVER be criticized...

Another Randy Hope-Taylor song with Incognito. He co-wrote this one with Bluey:

And of course, he played some REALLY funky stuff on the 100* and Rising Album:

I saw some videos of this kid years ago and he is the truth. He ought to be close to 20 now.  I believe he's Brazilian.

Check for arthritis in your neck concerning that numbness in your hand/finger.
I hope not, I already have arthur in my back. :no:
