That's because this site hates you.  If you invest in good software you won't have this problem.  I don't have an Adware problem.

Last year I had to change browsers to get relief. I went from Firefox to Safari. That fixed it for me. I get so tired of software upgrades that have incompatibility issues. I can no longer network my home security system because the security company has not updated their firmware to get past Apple's 2-factor authentication process.

The problem is cholly's adware/malware/virus protection.  He's probably either using a free version or one that's outdated.

Last year I was thinking the problem was Mac specific, since I was one of only a few with the problem at that time.  It is really a cat and mouse game, and explains why companies have to keep updating software to deal with this sort of thing.

I install all MS updates, and run CCleaner, Antispyware, Malware detectors periodically.  I use the antivirus program that comes with Windows.

However, stumped at the poor performance I've been getting over the last 2-3 weeks.

What malware/adware software are you using?  What anti-virus software are you using?  What computer/operating system are you using?

I'm not having any problems at all.

We've removed the ad at the bottom of the page.  See if that makes a difference.  All the other ads that might be suspect have been removed.

Trying to find a happy medium between ad revenue and intrusion to help us keep financing this board.

You HAVE to keep the lights on. This website is EXTREMELY important to most of us and it HAS to pay for itself.

Long delays tend to turn people off and send them to other websites so I'm glad you guys are working on it!!!

It seems to be faster and the hang-ups are much shorter. THANKS!!!

Doesn't matter what software or browser I run. Eventually it catches up and slows things down.
