We've heard from Condoleezza Rice and Mia Love but not Tim Scott.

No guts, no glory!

I keep going back to the fact that GOP strategist and consultant Castellanos (he's alleged to be the one who first came up with the Willie Horton ad) put together a plan to sink #ErraticTrump.  That was back during the primaries.

Reports were that none of the GOP leadership or PACs were willing to fund the project.  They were sooooo afraid of #ErraticTrump's lynch mob supporters that they chickened out.  They stood by and let that 30-40% of the GOP primary voters (comprising 6% of the overall electorate) drive the party into the gutter.

They deserve what they get!

I think it's safe to say at this point in time that today's Trump supporters prefer to not be affiliated with the  Tea Party.

Tim Scott is already in enough trouble for his "police moments" comments made during the summer. I'm sure his republikkkan masters told him they would kick his ass to the curb with Powell, Watts, and Steele if he ever acted like he was really black again.  So don't expect much.

Y'all are BREAKIN' IT DOWN!!

   and  :lmao:

Cholly,

To answer your probably rhetorical question...

They thought their base could be managed just as they did with the "green turf" Tea Party, which was backed and funded by establishment GOP types.  They thought they could stage manage the whole thing knowing how gullible their base has been.

Similar to the way that George Wallace learned from an early election loss never to be "outni%%ered" again, the fFar fRight knew they could count on the most extreme and most racist elements of their base NOT to go anywhere.

They didn't count on a disrupter like the current nominee who would not play by their rules.  Then, when he came along, they didn't have the guts to stand up the bully out of fear of alienating their base because they are essential to their coalition, which includes the deplorables.
