What does it have to do with anything...regards to this thread? Why you dumb a--. If you had a grain of sense, you would ask me what was he like at time. I tell you it has everything to do with the story of these outstanding and courageous men and their story. General Davis was part (an integral part I may add) of their story. I was fortunate enough to meet him and talk with him directly about some of his experiences in WWII. Also, I cherish the words he penned in the book I own.

Old dude ive told you before dont talk crazy to me

Now before you said ive never asked you to meet me anywhere well check this i will be at the BAC house this weekend you a Nupe from Morgan you should know where it is ....as i said before say it to my face

2 what does his political leanings have to do with anything the man should be respected because of his heroism his political leanings mean nothing

In 2001, I met General Davis shortly after he wrote his autobiography. I am glad I had the opportunity to meet him. I had a brief conversation with him about some of his experiences. He would die July 4, 2002. He autographed my copy of his book, "Benjamin O. Davis Jr., American: An Autobiography" His autograph and book is one of my prize possessions. I can say that Gen. Davis considered himself a conservative and politically a Republican.

What does that have to do with anything

Lawmakers in the nation's capital have floated a plan to require high school students to apply to college or trade school -- even if the students have no interest in attending.
The proposal is a bid to ensure students in the troubled Washington, D.C., school system at least have the know-how to navigate the admissions process.
D.C. Council Chairman Kwame Brown, who introduced the bill, said the proposal would establish a "mandatory workshop" to teach teenagers how to apply for aid and admission. It would then require everybody to apply to at least one post-secondary school before graduation.

When they talk about the 1% and the 99% it shows that they aren't willing to work to make it into the 1%.  They aren't even trying.  Look at what they did everywhere.  They protested without a permit.  They cost taxpayers money.  Other groups who protested paid for permits, cleaned up after themselves, and was not a burden on the taxpayers.

If you want to talk taxes a fair tax or a federal sales tax is better than what we have.

How does it show that the when the people are protesting the special privileges that are given to 1% of the country that cost the rest of us money... you know no one in the 1% no one... you dont have associates that are even close to the superrich status ... and no protest groups clean up after themselves... if you forget i was at the restoring honor rally .... CITY WORKERS CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS ... not tea party members at all and they were the same burden that occupy was ... a permit is not much money so stop acting as if other rallies did not cost the city any money

No ignorance C-F.  We know what the American Dream is about.  It is not about the government giving us what we should work for.

Buy my brother Y that is not what its about ... its never been about the government giving out gifts in the place of hard work ....

It's about the government being fair to its people not just those with large bank accounts...its about not taking advantage of the little guy to increase profits... its about a fair judicial system .... its about law and order for all and not just some ....

Now while i agree that occupy's message easily gets lost without central leadership .... they do have great points i suggest to all my conservative friends not to judge the loons just as they asked me not to judge the tea party based on their loons .... listen to the message and either you agree or you do not agree ....but to say their point is to only get government handouts is unfair

Be Blessed and have a Merry Christmas!!
