I see the big pink elephant in the room and I am going to call it out....Steele was brought in to counter a Black President; and it did not work, coupled with the fact that the GOP establishment would not support him financially and he would not go along with the establishment...it was only a time.

He was so on point last night it was not funny. Me and my best friend were texting back and forth on the speech and how the phrasing went.  It was dead ass. There was nothing to really criticize in the speech.

IMO, it ain' ova yet. I'm just waiting for these newly elected fools to come in and try to undo what this congress has done. We'll get to really see who'll be "one and done" then.

Chess vs. Checkers... ;D

Man, this 112th Congress is going to be a tricky one. This is going to be a pivotal point for DEMS and the GOPhers.  The GOPhers are going to have show that they govern and legislate for the best interest of the people and not strict party line mechanisms or we see them out again. They cannot let the Newt Gingrich effect happen again. The DEMS are going to have unify under what they believe in and stop in-fighting and gunning for position.  IF they had stood with the President and stop fighting him on the low there turnover would not have been as large.  The DEMS were afraid to tackle the big issues and Obama was not afraid to tackle the big issues and that alone caused them a lot of seats.

Dr. Shields was my President at Albany State University she is really good at (1) Student Retention (3) Image and Branding (4) SACS Accreditation (5) School PRIDE (6) She can shape a school up. She has that touch.

She still comes to Albany State events, she told us that ASU will always be home it was her first Presidency.

Having grown up a 3rd Generation Albany State Golden Ram, it was obivious I was going there; but let's answer the question...

1. Howard: It had everything and it was in D.C. : Mother didnt like its location.
2. Morehouse: It's where the smart black males went. TOO EXPENSIVE not enough GA folks. Mother was not impressed with school or location
3. Wilberforce: I enjoyed reading about it's history: Mother was not impressed on visit.
4. Savannah State: Actually went for a summer quarter as a transient student, during internship.
5. Tuskegee: Distant relative was former president. I just didn't like it. Didn't seem progressive at the time, all they talked about was the past.

In the end there was no confusion, because there was a RAM in the bush and it was well with my soul.

BEST: Marvin Gaye

I remembered when I stumbled across his version one day on You Tube and I was floored speechless...it just did something to me. I think I played it over and over and over again. I  had friend listening to it.   Before his version it was Whitney Houston's version and I must say I love Whitney's version.

ok then there are others......
