Tennessee State University, Fisk and Meharry.

The impact of seeing soooo many, hell, ALL Black students

and that these were college students left a lasting impact on my pscyhe.

EARLY 90'S was really the band's BETTER years.

I would work a deal with adding Tenn. State for football only to the MEAC.  The Ohio Valley is not the same for football any more and I think they like the idea of the Celebration bowl.

Tenn State schedule 6 MEAC games 1 Power Five game  1 SWAC 3 old Ohio Valley conference rival

YES!!!!

Looks like a STRONG possibility.

are BANKS next?

Question for the Rattlers and Snakes:

Do you realistically see FAMU and BCU
 in the SWAC long-term?
OR is this just a pit-stop?

Where would you like to see FAMU,
BCU in the next 5-10 years?

Just curious as to some of your opinions.
There's no right or wrong answers obviously.

I wonder if it would be easier to help UMES and Coppin start football.

I really think that ship has sailed. I think the time for that was decades ago
when the MEAC was fully loaded with football-playing members.

But...WHO knows?  Maybe?

Call Tennessee State and schedule a home-n-home series.

And if you're scheduling FAMU may as well schedule BCU too.

The parents of a 13-year-old girl who was raped by her science teacher at a Fulton County school in 2020 are alleging that administrators knew he was engaging in predatory behavior as early as 2019 and did nothing to stop it, according to a recently filed federal lawsuit.

Ex-teacher Robert Vandel has been convicted of the rape at Fulton Academy of Science and Technology (FAST), as well as child molestation charges in Cherokee County, where he was hired at Lyndon Academy after his firing in Fulton and went on to prey on another 13-year-old girl. He will spend the next eight years in prison and the rest of his life on probation as a sex offender.

The 65-year-old’s two-decade career as an educator included dodging multiple investigations, professional suspensions, firings and a slate of criminal charges. Despite his lengthy ethics history being public record and available to anyone who requested it, different schools continued to hire him until his September 2021 arrest for the Fulton County rape.

Now, that victim, identified only as Jane Doe II, and her parents are asking a federal judge to require Fulton County Schools administrators to take measures to ensure such a violation never happens to another student.

Robert would come up MISSING....thats all I'm saying!!! c >:(

General Discussion Forum / Isley Bros...."here we go again?"
« on: March 21, 2023, 10:05:55 AM »

TMZ is reporting that Rudolph Isley, a founding member of The Isley Brothers, has filed a lawsuit against his younger brother, Ron Isley, accusing him of filing the trademark for the family band’s name and taking all of the profits for himself.

Rudolph, who retired from music in 1989, claims that he and Ron are supposed to split all profits from the band. He says that they’ve had 50/50 ownership since their brother, O’Kelly Isley, passed in 1986. However, Rudolph says that Ron recently went rogue.

In the documents, Rudolph says Ron applied for and was granted the exclusive rights for the band name to use for “visual recordings and audiovisual recordings featuring music and animation.” This was approved back in August, but Rudolph says that Ron needs his approval to cut that deal.

Neymar better leave Kamala alone. He may get a knock at his front door.

He surely will, but it will only be....

Without football, they really didn't  have any money-generating sports except for maybe basketball?

And now they will have NONE. This is guaranteed to affect enrollment.

The challenge with October football scheduling is other conferences with 8-member conferences or more in your region are in conference play.

You'll have to be strategic with scheduling your 5 conference members..whatever that looks like.
The rest of your schedule would most likely with non-conference opponents.
I would also consider hosting at least one good D2 team.

And in the long-run, aggressively recruit some D2's to make that move and to do that, you may
have to show them some $$$$ OR at minimum help them out with some fees....maybe?

just my 4 or 5 cents
