Disingenuous  and dishonest! He owes Kapernik an apology.

President Trump was instrumental in having Kapernik blackballed from the NFL as he implored the commish and owners to fire him for kneeling. In addition he took aim at Nike when they ran ads featuring Kapernik. Called him an SOB and said he needed to leave the country!

All this man has done to him and yet Kap will not register to vote?   :brickwall:

he would make more of an impact in the league office.

He could make an even bigger splash by registering to vote.

She's a Republican, but she's no ideologue. Consequently, she will instantly appeal to independents across the nation. Her selection would constitute a unity ticket and deprive President Trump not only of most votes in the middle, but millions of votes on the right.

I could easily support this ticket.

Sports Forum / Re: Can the CIAA grab some MEAC teams
« on: June 14, 2020, 12:32:27 PM »
And when either Hampton and A&T go 2-0 against the MEAC but fail to win the Big South; they're going to receive the Celebration Bowl bid.

It can happen as soon as 2021. Does it make sense for multiple MEAC teams to play them, after that happens?

This is not a problem, no one in the MEAC will play A&T or Hampton

Cut off your nose to spite your face? Eagles you all need to stop it because you all will soon be joining us in the BSC.

Hampton will not be the last hbcu to make cuts due to Covid-19. In fact I'm predicting most of us will have to either cut sports, cut salaries or both.

The loss in revenue from ticket sales, associated attendance and athletic donations is going to be substantial this season. In fact I doubt if we recover in 2021. A&T notified fans that seating capacity would be capped at 7,000 per game this season. That's a big reduction when you consider we averaged about 16,800 last season. Cuts will have to be made somewhere?

I will actually applaud Hampton for getting ahead of this and making tough decisions now. The rest of us will be making tough cost cutting decisions as well. It's not a matter if but when.

Should cut the tourney completely and send regular season winner to big dance.

Sports Forum / Re: What happens to BCU and South Carolina State?
« on: June 07, 2020, 08:10:31 AM »
Outside of BCU, the MEAC needs to just hold on to remaining schools if possible. Of course they'll need to get new leadership. If they can turn into a true mideastern conference perhaps A&T and Hampton return in the future?

Dennis Thomas is poised to try and throw a monkey wrench into the proceedings today. He is on schedule to speak during the comment period of the trustees meeting. He will try and dispute the numbers that are in the report. His conference is set to lose revenue by this move, so he will probably go all in.

About seven years late.

Props to Chief Justice Roberts. Surprised President hasn't attacked him via Twitter yet.

Yeah, just want to use him to quell the uprising.

I knew this months ago. Glad for him and wish him well.

Props! You called this one back in February.

Travel budgets were already an issue before the pandemic hit.

Anthony Davis - too soon.

Bill Walton- Great when healthy

Tracy McGrady - Same as Walton

Vince Carter - dunker

*I would swap LeBron and Tim Duncan

Jim had a son play basketball at A&T in the early 80's. :kisses:

Jimmy Brown Jr. Dude had a nice game. One of the Aggie greats.
