I enjoyed seeing FAMU on national TV.  I love for any black organization to get any positive press which is why I plan to be at the Omega World Congress center to support them. Yes, a public transportation information session is being held at the Omega Center.

For all those who believe that HBCUs are not as good as PWIs, please inform yourselves about the value of accreditation.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) is one of the six regional accreditation organizations recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. This agency accredits over 13,000 public and private educational institutions ranging from preschool to college level in the Southern United States.

ASU, FVSU, and SSU have that in common with UGA, GSU, and KSU.

ABET accreditation is proof that a collegiate program has met standards essential to produce graduates ready to enter the critical fields of STEM education. Graduates from an ABET-accredited program have a solid educational foundation and are capable of leading the way in innovation, emerging technologies, and in anticipating the welfare and safety needs of the public.

My program at FVSU has that in common with GA Tech, UGA, KSU as well as other schools around the world.  If we are all learning from the same books, how is one school that much better than the other.  Please explain.

Three terrible schools no kid with options would spend to go to.

If you want to go to a bad school in Georgia you could at least go to Georgia Southern or, heaven forbid, West Georgia and sleep with mediocre white girls in a modern studio 54-esque type fantasy.

Standardized tests not always best indicator of success

University Park, Pa. – Standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT have long been used in college admissions to sort through thousands of applications. Whether or not such tests accurately assess a student’s ability to succeed in higher education is up for debate, but a Penn State expert says that, ultimately, current classroom performance is what prepares a student for admission -- and test day -- better than cramming or retesting to boost scores.

In other words, if a student has been taking advance subjects since 7th grade, he would be better prepared than a student who scored higher on the SAT but did not take as rigorous courses as the aforementioned student. I work with people from GSU and KSU, and I found that they are not too bright.  They cannot think for themselves and rely on other people to inform them.

GSU and KSU kids are not that bright? I agree.

Are they brighter than the low standard kids coming through FVSU,ASU, and SSU?

You betcha.
I do not know how you can determine that GSU and KSU students are brighter.  In fact, when I tell some people about some of my engineering tests, they ask me was I in grad school.  For example, I told a test where the Professor gave us the formulas; however, some of the information about the circuits were not given.  You have to determine whether could the problem be solved based on the provided information.
The first problem on the test could not be solved, and I questioned the professor about the problem which he told me yey, it could be.  The professor and I went back and forth three times until I found myself face to face with the instructor.  I told him exactly what I need to solve the problem. He said, yes, Mr. Cats4ever, you need the following information, and he provided the information.  Later, he told us that a good engineer should know all the information needed to complete a task.  I have told many people about my tests at FVSU, and they never had to take such a difficult test.

Now, I know for a fact, many students at PWI  have access to the tests,  My cousin went to UGA and some of the students would ask him to work certain problems.  Those same problems were on the math tests.  In fact, in his freshman year, he made a 100 on the finals because people would asked questions about certain problems before the test.  Did you know that students are not required to attend classes at UGA,  Many of those students have the test and only show up on test day.

Yes, I have a co-worker who graduated GSU, and he needed one class to graduate.  He was not doing too well in the class, so he asked the instructor to give him a C, so he can graduate.  Also, I attended a PWI, and students were asking me a question about a test before we told the test.  They were trying to prove I was not ready for the test, and guess what all the questions they asked me were on the test.

The question is "did he really have only seven scholarships to work with"?

That is the million dollar question
They have between 7-12 still not enough, the man did a good job for what he had

It is funny how some of these fans get upset, but they never want to put their money where their mouth is.  I have a friend and co-worker who was PO about the lost to ASU and SSU. He preached that we need to get some big linemen that can move people out of the way.  He believes that you can mine talent from “small towns” because no one never heard of these small towns.

I asked what are you going to use to get the player to attend FVSU.  Some people believe that a coach can make a player better but even the best coach needs some talent to work with.  When I was asking the coaches questions at fan day, I focused on team speed and there was a reason.  In the ASU game, they were much faster than we were, and there is no amount of coaching that can correct that.  LLL, I can outrun most of FVSU DBs.

Yes, we need more scholarships could we can recruit better players.  My co-worker believes that if he gave money, FVSU should provide him with a lifetime care package.  If we want to win, we need to rid ourselves of that mindset.  We need 1000 true FVSU fans to give $100 to football, so we can get some players.
all you points are dead on! The downfall of may HBCUS are that fans and donors expect too much in return for small donations give because it’s needed and don’t hold your hand out for something in return. I seen your OL this year they aren’t small at all other then your center is short plus you started 3 freshmen 1 sophomore , but shows his lack of football knowledge you’re a passing team and was 1 or 2 in every important offensive category this year in the conference and are highly ranked in the nation in offensive play. Fans have to evolve with football it’s a passing game now!
That is part of the issue with some fans who are stuck in the 90s, and believes that running the ball is the way to win.  Most defenders are to fast just for that and will hit every gap known to man to stop your running game.  Yes, you can win some games by running the ball; however, what happens if you run into a Valdosta State who can put points on the board.  What happens if you are down 3 TDs, will running help you catch up?
The only way you can compete at D2 with 12 scholarships is to run the service academies offense. You will win games, but you may not be able to compete in the play-offs. May be FVSU should run the T-offense,

That same month, Miller sent Breitbart a link to a tweet from right-wing pundit David Frum which laments "half of all violent crime in Germany committed by 'foreign youths.'" Miller and McHugh's exchange goes on to discuss how SAT scores plummeted because of the forced inclusion of "poor and nonwhite students" into classrooms.

Our first team quarterback is injured also. :brickwall:

I have faith that Number 7 can get it done for us.  His arm is not as strong as the starter, but he has good ball placement, so we are still capable of beating any team we play.  Now,  as VG stated, we need a running game to aid Jones if needed.

that’s a lie.

Prove it
What did he say that was not correct.  Yes, someone needs to blast them because they are not as smart as they think. In short, he stated what Jesus stated thousands of years ago; he among without sin, let him cast the first stone.  If you believe that people will get everything in this world correct the first time think again.

For example, we have rehashed the three strikes law without considering the conditions that made the such a law neccessay in the first place

I sure hope our 2nd and 3rd string quarterbacks can get the job done against SSU and ASU.
We have a good OC who I believe will get the most out of Mr. Jones.  I have hope because FVSU was able to score twice within 10 minutes to win the game last week.  Mr. Jones complete 60% of his passes after a rough start, and I hope to see more of what he did later in the game.

I wish Slade the best.

Right Antonio.
Now MB1, FVSU did more to give you that game. We had some issues but that football. Yes, he had to break in new starters on the O-line, but we are on point now.  I hope to have a rematch with you soon, and we will settle this on the field.

If the Wildcats played Miles and FAMU now  ;Dthe outcome would be different. The Wildcats would win both games. The Wildcats have found a Offensive coordinator the knows how to use the talent of the quarterback and receivers. We still need some more defense. ;D
My friend, you are  :lmao:.  Well, I see you are a true wildcat fan who loves his defense.  I believe the coach has done a job with the defense when you concern he had to work in quite a few new guys on defense,  In fact, he had to shift an O-line to defense to help with depth issues.  You Wildcats do not want anyone to gain a yard.  I have to love that.

The PJ by Miles Pizza taste good. But like you say there are some good ones and bad ones.
MB1, Pizza is like P___ to me.  Some are better than others, but I never had a bad piece.

The best time to beat FVSU is on the First Game I see. ;D Catch them Early because if you catch them later in the season they are Hell to beat.
MB1, we were breaking in a new offense and some new players at WR.  Now, we have gotten things together, so we can put the beat down on people.
