Welp, it's not like you are calling a shot from deep. It's more like a "duuuuuuhhhh" situation.
Everyone over the age of 30 who has paid attention to CIAA basketball is well-acquainted with Coach D'Alessio, especially as a Bowie State alum. When I worked for a local newspaper as a sports reporter/editor 20 years ago when he took over the BSU program, I had a feeling he would improve things right away. He's been around coaching at D-I's recently as an assistant, so the man hasn't forgotten any hoop knowledge at all.
He's a likeable fella and I hope he does well, all the way up til he plays BSU.
Good man. I enjoyed the two years I worked with him managing the football games. I MUST have done something right for the basketball team-served as Game Day manager-because the team made sure I got a Final Four ring. To think my frat tried to "oust" me when Mr. Davis left.
He surely was "shocked" when I got it.

Henry Frazier III built Prairie View, NCCU, and Bowie State's championship teams...
YOU SO OBVIOUSLY DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. THERE ARE AT LEAST 3 OTHERS WHO ARE MUCH BETTER HEAD COACHES THAN FRAZIER.
HENRY FRAZIER MAY HAVE BUILT PRAIRIE VIEW AND NCUU (I REALLY DON'T KNOW), BUT I KNOW PERSONALLY THAT HIS HIRING BY BSU WAS ONLY AS A RESULT OF A REPAID DEBT. HE MAY HAVE "CONSULTED" WITH DAMON WILSON OFF THE FIELD, BUT IF YOU KNEW WHAT YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT YOU'D KNOW HE HAD NO ON-FIELD RESPONSIBILITIES AND DEFINITELY HAD NO HAND WHATSOEVER IN RECRUITING. YOU'D DO BETTER COMMENTING ON WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT HOWARD INSTEAD OF SPECULATING ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON AT BOWIE STATE. I'M HOPING DR. FRAZIER LANDS A HC JOB SOMEWHERE, BUT IT DEFINITELY WON'T BE AT BOWIE STATE.
I WISH HIM ALL THE BEST IN HIS FUTURE ENDEAVORS. BTW, HOW MANY "SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE HEAD COACH" POSITIONS ARE OUT THERE THAT YOU AWARE OF?
i can't speak for the creator of this thread, but i think he was referring to frazier's "first" head coaching gig of his career at bowie state, not his current assistant position. as i recall, indeed frazier did build bowie state's championship program almost from scratch back in those days before he left for the prairie view job...
Not exactly. He inherited the program on the rise from Sherman Wood.

I was about to type "Not without some non-NC players. It looks like he found a few. I guess that means a possible "last" for us.........

Y'all do know that a previous mayor (I think) of Roanoke lobbied for the game. If my memory serves me correctly he is a VUU alum. The current mayor is a VSU alum. A few years back they had a CIAA game there in a mini-classic.
Unlike a lot of places one might drive, neither fan base has anything to worry about other than I-81 from I-66. It can be a bit hairy at times. You WILL see Black folks if you make a stop along the way.

The only things suspect were:
1) Our QB
2) Our discipline
3) Our coach
Washington is extremely close to running the Aggie train off the track....and we all know it
How has Washington changed from last year?
Washington hasn’t changed. Players change, time changes, schedules changes and circumstances change. We will be fine. We are still the most hated team and everyone gets up to play us.
Truth from The Truth.

It was obvious that UNC-G had better athletes out there. In fairness A&T was ice cold the first half. However Capler's points are right on. One brother for A&T was AWFUL, and I hope for him it was just one of those nights. Another wasn't much better......had to be close to double-figures in turnovers.
Also, I now know it isn't my imagination..... that school has gotten a LOT darker.
I think UNCG has the highest percentage of non HBCU black kids in the UNC system. If you noticed at the game, UNCG was playing up that fact in the arena. It was a hip, urban, happening atmosphere. I'm sad to say that they were doing a better job at atmosphere than most HBCUs do. Black folk are going to have to stop taking our people for granted and put more effort into the fan experience.
For example, the A&T football fan experience is not what it use to be. It has become too restrictive. First you have to jump through hoops to find parking. There is a crazy obstacle course to get inside Aggie Stadium. Restricted tailgating now has people scattered all around city streets, away from the stadium, trying to do this. Concessions availability is ridiculous. The breezeways are too narrow, and becomes a nightmare with vendors.
I said this to say that the fan experience is just as important as the play on the field.
I noticed, except the cheerleaders moves were killing me.
I've been spoiled.
