SMH

I'm not sure why you are shaking your head.

Because of this arguement. Since we have this desire to only compete against other Black instutions and only have HBCU associations, i am waiting for these visionaries to have HBCU championships in all sports and have HBCUs effectively withdraw from the NCAA.

That way as Ram55 says , we grow and help ourselves

I didn't read where anyone said we should play only HBCUs... did you? Plenty of PWS play HBCUs, yet they remain in their all white conferences. How many of them are running to join HBCU conferences? So in your words its ok for them to remain white but just take our talent and now our band styles. Leaving us with what?

ON 7/29 at 1115am you said

America has not changed to the point where we don't need all our schools to support each other. Its their AD, he is like God to them.

What better support is there than building and creating our own platform where we control all revenue created?

The Board of Trustees meeting was scheduled to have an official vote to join the Big South. Is there a group of Aggies that were planning on challenging the University over the move?

Quote
"Let me remind everyone why we're having this meeting today," trustee Timothy King said during the Athletics Conference Assessment Committee meeting. "And that is to make sure that we are having it under the open meetings laws and to ensure we're operating under the highest compliance."

The meeting, followed by a second formal vote by trustees, could head off any nuisance lawsuits by opponents of the move to change leagues.

If so many people were against the move they sure were silent. Just like when decision was made to discontinue playing wssu.....only one person complained.

It is important for leaders to understand silence in the organizations they lead. A&T alumns have supported the university through some controversial decisions. Always remember that silence is not always support.

That comment is not true. If you are not man enough to stand up against a wrong, then you are supporting a wrong. Nothing changes if you stay silent. So therefore, you are supporting what you are silent about. WSSU thought me that. Man, you Aggies are letting this Ram fight harder for you to remain our leader than you are.

Glad you are finally admitting what we have all known for years as it relates A&T being a lead institution among HBCUs. At the same time, shocked at how you are always bent out of shape about what's going on at A&T. What up with you rams...It's truly an obsession.

We made the move to the Big South because we felt it was in our best interests. We decided not to play this fall as an independent because we felt it was not in our best interests. We decided not to pursue playing in Hampton's place in the Big South this season because it was not in our best interests...and yes, we decided to drop wssu from our schedule because it was not in our best interests.

A&T is going to do what we believe is in our best interests...no slight or shade against anyone.

What gets me is, we are joining another conference but will play MEAC schools too attitude.   They always sing thing praises of their A.D. and never the coaches.  Enjoy the Big South.

It's only one MEAC school we are concerned with. And that is NCCU. Everyone else will be fit in when it is beneficial for A&T.

You might wanna watch the Big South slander. the 2021 MEAC only has 6 conference members, which means you have to play 6 Out of Conference games. MEAC schools will be calling the Big South members for games.

Are A&T fans really ok just fitting in HBCUs when it benefits them? What if HBCUs said hell no? Would A&T fans be happy with only playing Hampton and the two 3-5 fans that attend their games? Just asking.

I wouldn't be surprised if they only play NCCU from the MEAC.  Their alumni are quiet about this because many think that they are going to have both worlds.

The numbers show that MEAC schools will need games to fill their schedules.

Most schools play 11 games a year. 6 Meac Conf teams means a team in the MEAC has 5 conf games. They have to fill the other 6 games on the scheudle with someone. Email your AD and ask them how hard it is to schedule Out of Conference games.

The MEAC will be playing plenty of Big South schools and other conferences too

Well looks like we gonna hear about Rice spying on Trump for the next 90 whatever days

So a&t doesn't have to abide by the rules like everybody else?  People are dying and you guys are worried about football?

When you’re led by the white man you think like him.

Bwhahaha and when we were led by African Americans , and we had horrible APR and other issues i never heard your comments about how our department was ran then.

The Racial Prejudice around here is bad. I thought Oldsport was bad

And so is the NFL , Most Power 5 and G 5 schools and FCS programs. But yeah it's just A&T discussing ways to play Footbal

So talking I’ll about the big south on Onnidan has repercussions?

REALLY...

What’s sad is a&t was close to playing if the big south could have pulled it off.  This country is not going get through this virus with the ignorance and inability to endure some short term pain.

No what the MEAC did today will. Basically A&T was blocked because apparently the MEAC is having Spring Football and due to the fact that A&T is attached to the MEAC till June 30th .... We are stuck.

42
We were THIS CLOSE..........

“We had brief conversations with A&T about doing the same thing, but with the MEAC still looking at the possibility of a spring season…they’re not able to,” Kallander said.

Sources tell HBCU Gameday that discussions were ongoing through the weekend before the MEAC stepped in stating that it spring football was on the table.

“That’s completely understandable, ” Kallander said. “That would have been something that we would have been interested in. But respect what they need to do with their current conference.”

Martin has let his AD destroy the Aggie Legacy.

Don't say that, those Aggies are proud of their AD. Haven't you been reading their posts about how great of a job he's doing?

He was just the FCS AD of the year named by Under Armor but hey. In your eyes , that ain't sh@! right. Maybe our AD should call Etienne Thomas since she is doing such a great job at WSSU
