^^^additionally, there were several of DJT’s nominees for the federal district court bench who, during their confirmation hearings, flat out REFUSED to testify that Brown was “settled law”. Their rationale? They might have to opine on the matter if the issue came before them were they confirmed to the bench.
No doubt, it has got to be VERY disconcerting for us baby boomers, many of whom, like me, who are grandparents. But we must now seriously ponder an America which might provide FEWER civil rights for our grandchildren than what we enjoyed.
But Joe doesn’t seem too concerned about this impending catastrophe. He’s over in the Austrian Alps, skinning and grinning with the G-7 leaders trying to screw Putin while OUR economy continues to tank.
Is the old Nero metaphor applicable here: Joe fiddles while WE burn?
The popular vote does not win presidential elections, so bringing that into the equation is moot. There is no way Trump wins Michigan, Wisconsin or Pennsylvania if butt-hurt Bernie Supporters would’ve come out and voted for Clinton, and if turn out was higher among blacks in the major population centers in those states. Sometimes, people will cut off their own nose to spite the face. Not saying blacks did this in 2016, but those progressives did. Blacks either didn’t understand the moment, or didn’t take it seriously, and enough of both groups played their role in Michigan and Wisconsin… and Pennsylvania, which handed Trump the election. I stand firmly on my statement.^^^forgive me, DAW, but did you not see my post which IMMEDIATELY precedes your own? I reminded ALL that HRC got THREE MILLION MORE votes than the dude she defeated, yet THAT reprehensible human being was the one who was sworn into the Oval. Did you not see that, or did you choose to IGNORE it because it did not fit your narrative?
So, NO!, Americans did NOT vote for Roe’s demise. The dude who LOST the presidential popular vote began his reign of assault on basic, democratic principles by, among other things, nominating these MAGGAT judges to SCOTUS.
But you ARE correct about one thing. If mofos sit on their a.z.zes in the midterms and NOT vote for Dems and other progressives, then, yeah, that indifference will get us ALL F’ed up.
If you listen to the logic used for this decision, it was stated that nothing in the Constitution guarantees a woman's right to an abortion.
If that logic is used in the future, there is nothing in the Constitution that says blacks can vote, American society has to be integrated, etc.
Let's thank Y, Oldsport and the others who have supported the Racist Republicans for today's decision and future decisions that will no doubt affect black people negatively.
Wrong. It's the racist democrats that caused this. The democrats that no problem with 79% of Planned Parenthood locations in Black communities. The Planned Parenthood of Margaret Sanger. The same Margaret Sanger that used eugenics to eradicate Blacks. Hitler studied her.
democrats who advocate for late term abortion. democrats who advocate for giving birth and keeping the baby comfortable until the mother decides if the baby lives or dies. Even a democrat governor who is a licensed pediatrician had no problem with that.
There are too many ways for a female to not get pregnant. If a Black female doesn't want to get pregnant there is no reason why she should. You should be just as adamant about prevention as you are about killing babies. Instead, you allow your handler to dictate what you should think.
BTW, the Constitution does state who can vote.
