That's wonderful! I'm happy for the brother. I wonder what was the pay difference from East Carolina and Maryland?

All I know is 3 Cinderella schools in the Final Four is bad for business. Case in point:

https://www.fox26houston.com/news/mens-final-four-2023-ticket-prices-drop-least-expensive-since-2014

They’re practically giving away tickets for the semifinals on the secondary markets. Tickets for the Women’s Final Four are selling for more.

It’ll be interesting to see what the ratings look like. My guess? People don’t actually care to see this many non-blue bloods in the Final Four at once. One? Sure! Three? No. Feels more like an NIT Final Four.

The blue-blood teams should have played better basketball, point blank. The NCAA Tournament is not the time for a team to get cute, and think they are entitled to get to the final 4. This year's final four is a PRIME EXAMPLE of that.
I mean, honestly, who picked San Diego State and Florida Atlantic to be in the final 4? I KNOW I didn't. I picked DUKE(I'm a fan!) in one bracket and Purdue in another, because Purdue isn't considered a blue-blood basketball team, IMHO. I was so wrong this season, DAYUM. :lmao:

there 92 quarterbacks in the NFL better than he is?

This is my train of thought. He's better than a lot of starting QBs in the league this very minute!

Well, if that is true, then why isn't he playing in the league?

I'd say the same reason Kaep isn't in the league. Sheer ignorance from the NFL owners. I mean, Derek Carr is with the Saints. and before that, Dalton, right? Are you being for real right now?  :lmao:

Question for the Rattlers and Snakes:

Do you realistically see FAMU and BCU
 in the SWAC long-term?
OR is this just a pit-stop?

Where would you like to see FAMU,
BCU in the next 5-10 years?

Just curious as to some of your opinions.
There's no right or wrong answers obviously.

Their home football games are probably better attended with Alabama State, JSU, Southern and Grambling coming to visit as opposed to having home games with NSU, MSU, DSU and NCCU. I really don't see them EVER coming back to the MEAC.

I wonder if BCU has benefited like FAMU in the SWAC.  The MEAC has a lot of work to do.  It will be ashamed if this great conference dies.

That's a good question. I wonder if their home gate has increased?

Wow, I have not even considered scheduling difficulties with only 6 schools.  I would rather have FAMU and BCU back than the other 2.  I know neither is going to happen.  The MEAC needs to add a football-playing school asap.

Honestly, I thought it would be easier because of the fact that we don's start conference play until what, mid-October? We'd have more room to schedule home and home contests with fellow FCS schools,,,

UNC, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas all out. How often do we see this before the sweet 16?

It's just one of those seasons that make the Big Dance so awesome. The usual crew got bounced. The scrappy teams are all up in it!

Well, there ARE black folks in Iowa, particularly Davenport and Bettendorf. One of my friend's ex-girlfriend is from Bettendorf, and she's an Iowa Hawkeye graduate. She said they didn't have a whole lot of black folks at U of Iowa, but you didn't have to be Einstein to figure that one out!  :lmao:

Is this the part where the other HBCUs say we're sorry. Not me. I'm extremely happy this is happening. Who's surprised both these schools performed so poorly. Just wait until football season.

That "award winning AD", is going to run out of people to fire.

Who do you see A&T losing to this fall, since you seem to be looking forward to it?  :lmao:

A&T @ UAB
NCCU @ A&T
A&T @ Elon
A&T @ NSU
Villanova @ A&T
A&T @ Delaware
UR @ A&T
A&T @ HIU
Towson @ A&T
A&T @ Rhode Island
Campbell @ A&T

So, were the hotel prices higher when the CIAA was in Charlotte, or are they the same as the CAA prices now? If they were higher at the CIAA time in Charlotte, isn't it interesting the city of Charlotte charged higher prices for the CIAA folks than the CAA folks?

I need a bit more info on this one.
:(.......yeah, me too.  But there is something else that troubles me about this growing trend to "villainize" transgender folks.  There was a time in this country's not-too-distant past when all-white athletic teams would refuse to enter a contest in which their opponents had one or more negro athletes.  Yeah, that actually happened WITHIN the life span of a great number of peeps on this board.

Let's think about that.

Two totally different things.  Too bad you are not smart enough to know that.  White democrats tell you what to think and believe and you 'yassar boss' them without question.

A political party has absolutely NOTHING to do with this issue. I am a DEMOCRAT, with independent tendencies, and I think legitimate girls should compete against legitimate girls, and legitimate boys should compete against legitimate boys. Boys pretending and identifying as girls should be ashamed of themselves competing against legitimate females and usually winning their events, like the track situation in Connecticut a couple of years ago.
