OK, from what I saw from a poorly posted video. He was singing a rap song with the N-word as part of the lyrics. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but at this point in society where all this generation does this, I don't see the issue. Besides,  when has Florida or the SEC been ever been concerned with rap lyrics?

Its STILL an issue for me but also, I GET IT.  The rappers have glorified and romanticized the word so much, its like it HAS to be included in music; its in a lot of the tv programming [Miss Pat Show WARES IT OUT] so when you put it out there like that [amongst mixed company], its gonna get used LIKE WE USE IT in addition to the racists BUTTWIPEs who use it. It is what it is. I don't have to like it, and I don't but don't nobody care about what I like, do they.    IJS....

That's exactly the point I'm making. You can't get angry at the kids for doing it when it's being allowed to be sold. All of us at a certain age group have issues with it. But at the end of the day, the fault lies with us.

True. As much as I hate that word, it's used so much in rap music, that we're basically numb about it.

I thought one of the SWAC teams played ND recently? I can't remember which team

Was it MVSU? I know the HBCU NCA&T played them recently.

A&T is the only hbcu to play them in football so far.
The Aggies lost 43-3.


FYI:   A&T is at UAB on Aug. 31st this year!  

Man, I could have sworn that MVSU played them one season,,,,,,

So everything Reed spouted about was a LIE? Was there ANY truth to his complaints?

Bruh, c'mon! What he was complaining about was not what the outrage was about. The substance of his complaint may have been valid, but remember that, 1)He showed up unannounced, 2)the school had been shut down for the holidays and everyone was just returning from the break, 3)the school WAS hit by 2 Cat 4 hurricanes in quick succession late last year, so yes it may have still been a mess. Going on a live online cuss-filled tirade is no way to introduce yourself to your potential supporters. IMO, it was a hoodrat move, if ever I saw one.

So he showed up unnannounced? Interesting.

But, some of yall aren't seeing the forest because of this one tree being in the way. Yes, I agree that he should NOT have gone public with his tirade.  But putting lipstick on a pig is STILL gonna be a pig.  Not working out a contract as soon as he arrived on campus is not cool.  If that's what happened.
We as HBCUs GOTTA do a BETTER job of approaching administrative issues professionally.

What was even more ridiculous to me was Prime trying to give credence to this crap.  He better be watching his step in the clear country instead of getting mixed up in some Ed Reed crap.

Prime is good for at least 3 years. He made those folks over 100 million.  Part of a coach’s job at a PWI is to generate revenue.  Plus he is getting the recruits in. Prime has more control at the PWI.

I tell you what, let Prime go on a rant like this and let’s see how good he is and how much control he has. Prime is about to be quiet as a church when it comes to that PWI.  The only time you gonna hear his mouth is an AFLAC commercial.

Prime didn't have to go on a rant. Did you see the video of him walking thru the facilities at Colorado? As nice as they were, I'm betting that Alabama and Georgia's facilities are even better than that!

Why can't this man just have his opinion, regardless? I don't see it as tearing someone down. Critiques keep you aware. I did get the chance to see Rihanna in concert once. I was not a big fan of her till after that show! She's phenomenal!

Why are these ethnic FRENCH, ITALIAN, ASIAN, SPANISH and AMERICAN AP courses relevant, but AFRICAN AMERICAN studies NOT relevant?
