You have to love the work being down in Jackson.  Did he originally sign with UF or was he just committed?

I was wondering the exact same thing. I guess there is a grace period on LOI’s.

From my understanding there isn’t. Either way I still like the work going on in Jackson

This guy is full of crap.  His program has the money to over award kids and benefit from this rule as much and possibly more than anyone else.  He didn't have a problem a few years back when they had 5th and 6th year players on the roster and making a deep run in the tournament.

So proud of these young ladies and their efforts this season.

He went to a bowl game last year and then the pandemic hit.  I think it unfair to all coaches right now

Athletics is a results oriented business.  Especially at the P5 level.  At no time did the program go .500 in conference.  It's just time to move on.

2016 3-9
2017 2-10
2018 4-8
2019 6-7

the team has been stuck for years. it's time to move on.

This mofo was a strength-and-conditioning coach only two years ago. Now, he is ready to be a head coach???? 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I’m sure that there are many coaches who have stronger resumes thank him at first glance. But don’t discredit the work and association that he’s had. He should be able to land a high mid-major for his body of work.

For 13 years he has been involved with the premiere “amateur” athletic team in the nation. Hs sat in on team, administration and position meetings. And while position coaches have dead period of contact during the summer you better believe he had full access to playbook and concepts  since he wasn’t limited to contact and instruction.

Should this happen the ripple effect will be huge. Just imagine these schools no longer providing money games and also hosting their own basketball championship with the top 16-24 teams.  TV money would change drastically along with the possibility of smaller budgeted school and their offerings of particular sports.

Yeah. If these kids were not already on campus and isolated the thought of bringing the back now and ramping up is a difficult one.

With this young squad being down three starters before the season got through the first week. I think we need to step away from the cliffs edge. They should be fine right about or after the holiday. Other than missing bodies, the biggest problem that they had in each game was turnovers, problem from the previous year and will be with such a young team.  Can we please be patient and give them a chance to put a full healthy squad on the floor.

Del St Alum:  We lost by 60 but at least we didn't have the worst conference loss of the night.  :tiptoe:

I'm so happy for Bison basketball. Let's keep this thing going

wow, this is huge. I think that this is the perfect opportunity for the MEAC to put forth an effort to show their fans what conference scheduling will look like moving forward unless there is another defection before the end of the month.

We all have a tendency to look at potential bad news about other schools as them being the only ones that it can happen to. The reality is that "All" our schools were barely making it before this virus. Trust me, your school is also looking in their wallets and weighing their options. If the very wealthy bigs schools are struggling, why would you think our schools aren't? s**t getting ready to hit the fan for a lot of us. Just wait and see.

Hell , if this recession drags on for two or more quarters sports conferences will be the least of our problems.

I completely agree. This is time where organizational restructuring will occur on all levels. I’m truly hopeful that we come out stronger from this. But I’m not naive enough to this that there won’t be casualties along the way.
