This is dumb.
actually this is smart and ahead of the curve. TX OU, USC  and UCLA. are choosing where they will land early instead of scrambling at the last minute.
Next the six old schools (in Washington, Oregon and No Cal) will band together to probably get the cream from the Big XII and MWC.

Looks like Washington and Oregon are heading to the Big10 as well.  The Pac12 will more than likely see the Arizona schools to the Big12 along with Colorado and Utah/Stanford for TV their markets.  Odd schools out would be Oregon State, Washington State and Cal.

???? I guess they are expecting JSU and Prime to be a big draw.  What does that stadium hold, approximately 70K? Bethune Cookman had 10K at homecoming and less than 4k at the other home games. Unless the stadium is free I'm not sure they will get the bang for their buck. I wish them well though.

I'm sure that the folks at BCU have done their homework on this. Because they lack an on-campus stadium, they are paying either way.  I would think that their fee would be about 150k to rent this facility for the day.  And if so, they will be sure to make their money back while showcasing themselves in the best possible way to the nation.

You do realize that about 30% of Howard’s athletes are not in the MEAC. The conference needs to grow or this will potential move will be flirted with again. But for now the Bison will dominate the MEAC in four/five sports and be as competitive as possible in their NEC sports.

::) the OVC is a bore and I loathe that TSU still remains a member.

I think we all feel that TnSt would flourish in the SWAC. And with Tuskegee making it known that they want in we’re our eyes are watching to see what going to on in Nashville too. But only time will tell if TnSt would be willing to make a move.

looks like BCU is regrouping well in the SWAC and will be ready to in three years

With that coach gone, did these kids ask for a release?

I like Frederick, but I believe it is time for new and fresh vision at HU.
We said that after Swygert and got a true dud in  Ribeau.
Exactly! Dr. Frederick may not have done everything the way folks may have wanted. But we can clearly say that what he’s managed to do during his tenure at Howard is nothing short of amazing. I wish he could’ve stay on for a two year extension to manage a bit more of this new construction. But with all that gone on, I’m sure he didn’t want to be the President who killed the MEAC and dropped the mic as he walks out the door.

As soon as I saw MSU hire coach Wilson, I knew the band was getting back together. With the development and push to R1 status Morgan State is in prime position for success.

I remember many people saying that this wouldn’t work. Glad that this worked.

Looks like they are going all in on that move to D1. Just have to see who the second team will be.  It’s great to see an administration make an aggressive plan and act fast on it.

Ramese, I hear that...and good points.

And I've always thought if any school left the SIAC for D1/FCS that it would be Albany State and NOT one of the smaller private SIAC teams.

So if it doesn't make sense for yall...IJS.

Very true, ASU would definitely boost the level of competition is baseball in the SWAC East.
