Farm raised Gator Meat is dayum near everywhere in town now.

What does it taste like BT and please don't say chicken.

I have had road kill as well.  if my daddy ran over a rabbit on the way to work he would be late because he would bring it back for my Mom to cook.  Man the things you eat when you have no choice.

"Hog maws, turkey necks, cow brains, and pinto beans"

I bet you siddity Onnidan posters don't know nothing about that  cuisine? :tiptoe:

That ain't shyt, come talk to me when you have had squirrel (tree rat), possum (graveyard rat), coon, mountain oysters, and chicken feet.

You left out quail, dove, turtle/gopher, gator, and frog legs...

What about beaver, goat , grasshoppers hoecakes? ????

I'm saying Que...turkey necks, oxtails, neckbones, pigs feet...that ain't nothin'

I have never had Pinto eyed peas yes, but no pinto beans

Hate chitterlings and Hog mama mixes them..

Anybody ever had Brunswick stew with real Hog Head?

Those damn mountain oysters?  Man....

Reminds me of a Saturday we went to my grandmama's house in Millegeville before a football game. I had eaten breakfast before we left home, but my sister and brother didn't. my Daddy would stop to get them anything so when they got to ma's house they were hungry....they tore into the house to see what was on the stove...saw a pot with some stewed meat in it.

VG's siblings: grandmama, can we have something to eat?

Ma: yeah baby

They get a plate and go to it was their last meal...

VG siblings:  ooooh ma, this shole is good..what kind of meat is this?

Ma (just as nonchalant as she could be) :  Coon

VG's siblings spit that food out all over the table.. I  :lmao: :lmao:

VG that's similar to how I ate possum.  I was at my grandma's house (grand kids were summer slaves who worked the fields when school was out.) I went in the kitchen and saw a pot of what I thought was chicken and dumplings on the stove.  I got a big bowl and lit into it.  I had just gotten another bowl, when my grandma came into the kitchen saw me and said to my granddaddy, "I didn't know that baby liked possum."  The spoonful I had just swallowed larged in my throat and I got sick to my stomach.

There is no way to justify such a stupid decision, however, I really can't believe his mother didn't want to talk to her.  After I broke my foot off in his behind, I would have worked with the girl's mother to try to keep this out of the GA legal system even if I had to send him to another state to live with relatives.  I believe the girl's mother sincerely did not want the young man to go to prison but his mom's ignance made a bad decision he made worst.

MB1 come get your cousin!  :lmao:

Dayum, they didn't even ease in the fact he attends CAU, they put the school on blast right up front.  Like that's what they teach at CAU.   Had he returned $10k that was lost you never would have known he was in college.

Do the ATL schools get much positive press from the AJC?  I know "The State" treats SCSU and Benedict like crap.

When you go to the supermarket, do you go down all of the aisles or do you only go to the aisles that have the items you want?

Why did you join this messageboard?

Besides the drums, what is you favorite musical instrument?

If you won $1000, what would you spend it on?Can you dance?

1.  I go down all the aisles I know have what I am looking for.  I try to get in and out.

2.  I joined this message board back in HS because I was so fascinated with HBCUs.  Once I attended that '96 Aggie-Eagle Classic, I was hooked so when I found Onnidan, I felt like I was in heaven.  I wanted to learn as much as I could about HBCU sports, bands, and atmospheres and I found that through Onnidan.

3.  I would give $1,000 to my mom's church and put the rest in the bank.  I'm frugal. ????

4.  I can dance but I might scare you.  I do the deep south dances like "The Bunny Hop", "Josephine Johnny", and "The Hooka Hooka".

Man, I sure hope you ain't majoring in accounting cause if you win $1000 and donate $1,000 to the church, you ain't putting shyt in a bank account frugal or not.

2.  Why are light-skinned people evil?

Uh...surr, there will not be anymore light-skinned bashing. Cease and desist if you know what's good for you.

that's all... >:(

Yogi you light skinned?   Ya'll went out in the late 60's even though El Debarge is trying to help ya'll come back.  :lmao:

I for one am not knocking Shaw because my school has the same problem when it comes to on-line giving.

Its just strange to me when you already have on-line giving in place for one thing, you can't get it in place for another.  In my case AAMU has on-line giving for band uniforms but you have to mail in a form for everything else.   I think we miss out on a lot of funding by not making it easy for givers.

Can I ask personal questions?   ;D

Besides the Bible or a holy book, what's your favorite book?

What city/country that you've never been to would you like to visit?

If you could spend the day with someone famous, who would it be?

If you could ask the President of the United States a question, what would you ask?

1.  I have a lot of favorite books but off the top of my head, I'll have to say "Race Matters" by Dr. Cornel West or "Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou.

2.  I have never been to Washington.  My family was stationed there before I was born and my mom always talked about how beautiful the water was and how she loved seeing whales.  I would also like to visit Rio for the 2012 Olympic games.  I have heard a lot about that city but I would really like to know how in the world they beat out Chicago.

3.  If I could spend the day with someone famous it would have to be Maya Angelou.  She gives some very inspirational quotes on her Facebook fan page and I love her literature.  I have always favored being around older people filled with wisdom.  I never got a chance to meet Rosa Parks, Coretta Scott-King, and other heros so I hope to meet Dr. Angelou before she leaves this earth.

4.  If I could ask President Obama one question, it would be, "Can I buy you a pack of Newports?" because he deserves to smoke a few squares given the amount of drama he has faced.    Nah, I would probably ask, "What advice would you give to young Black men who are fighting so many odds?"

I am assuming you are talking about Washington State and not DC, cause the only whales in DC are on the sidewalks.

What is the difference between a wedding and a funeral?

There are two bodies at a wedding.

Good luck Branj and when the minister asks you if you take this woman.... answer yes ma'am, keep saying that and you will be married forever.  :lmao:
