Washington • Uh-oh. President Trump is in such a state of panic about his dimming reelection prospects that he’s getting his lies mixed up and occasionally blurting out the truth.
“It’s tough for Apple to pay tariffs if it’s competing with a very good company [Samsung] that’s not,” the president told reporters Sunday — flatly contradicting the ridiculous and utterly false narrative he has spent months trying to sell. Trump apparently forgot his standard lie that China is somehow paying “billions of dollars” in tariffs, acknowledging instead that they are taxes paid by U.S. companies and, ultimately, the American consumer."

TALLADEGA, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a teenager is dead after a shooting involving an off-duty police officer in east Alabama.
News outlets report that 19-year-old man Javaon Ousley was fatally wounded by a Lincoln police officer on Tuesday. It happened at a basketball court near a housing project in Talladega.
Lincoln Mayor Lew Watson tells WBRC-TV the officer was shot in the arm, but the injury doesn’t appear to be serious. The officer wasn’t working at the time.
Ousley’s mother tells the station her son went to settle an online sale, but she doesn’t know what happened next.
Authorities haven’t released the officer’s name.
There are not enough details to cast judgement on this incident so I won't. Sad situation

External audit finds nearly $2.7 million inappropriately used by Florida A&M for athletics
Florida A&M University violated state governing board regulations when it inappropriately made six transfers of unauthorized auxiliary funds totaling nearly $2.7 million to pay down debt in its athletics department, an outside forensic audit released Wednesday found.
The report said there was no indication FAMU President Larry Robinson authorized the use of two payments totaling $2,234,006 million between June 15, 2015, and June 2019. But it did find he authorized the transfer of $453,763 in non-athletic concession funds to go toward the department’s repayment of funds.
FAMU's athletics department has run an annual deficit since at least 2008.
This was a pretty good event. Food was good. No issues, everyone acted like civilized adults (even the Aggie/Eagles behaved however
JSU refused to put their tent up next to Southern though. ) Schools I saw represented were.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Students heading back to campus at Alabama A&M University will be riding in style.
The university just received $1.7 million to buy new transit buses to improve transportation. And those buses are 100 percent electric. which is a first for the state, thanks to funding from the Federal Transit Administration
With this grant, six buses will be added to the fleet.
Two should arrive in September, another two in December, and two more next summer.
I did not know that Brian Jenkins had moved to the NCCU coaching staff. I don't really give a dayum about him I just hope our best receiver/kick returner Brian Jenkins Jr didn't leave with him. Our 2019 roster has not been posted yet so I can't tell.
On Thursday while going to the doctor's office I got on the elevator, there was a clear lady already on the elevator. I pushed the button for my floor. The elevator started moving then abruptly dropped back down. It did this several times and the lady looked at me like it was my weight doing it. We pushed the call button and after a while the door open. We almost killed each other getting off that thang.
Today at The Hornet's Nest Park Charlotte, NC our alumni chapter was having a send off cookout for students in the Carolinas who were incoming freshmen and returning students when we heard gunfire. I could hear the bullets cutting through the trees over our heads.A pack of young boys who looked to be in high school or middle school were shooting at each other and one boy who was shooting over his shoulder was running in our direction. I never seen old folks including me hit the ground so fast. As it was happening we called 911 and the PoPo rolled in deep. They stayed in the area after they searched for the boys so we stayed and finished but I will not be returning to that park.I hope no one messes up the HBCU Cookout the coming weekend.
If this young lady ever performs in your area be sure to check her out. She is an AAMU grad and a school teacher in Augusta , GA.
