A&T better find a running game or its going to be a long season.  They about to see what a real championship team looks like on Saturday.  I hope by the end of the next 2 games they have enough healthy people to compete.   Congrats to the eagles for making this matchup a rivalry.....afterall there is no real rivalry if one team keeps beating the other, IMHO.   We may be looking at the start of the end of the Washington era if things dont change.

Congrats VSU. You see...this is the kind of hire you make when you are serious about winning. Unlike some school in the southern division that hired a coach with a historical losing record and has never had winning seasons anywhere he coached...but I digress!!...(...dumb arsses)

When you want a winning football program you hire a guy who has only won twenty something games in 70 something tries. Also he happens to be a defensive spexialist that gives up 70plus points to an eventual 4th ranked division team. I mean if you want success from a coach, dont pay any attention to his record, his teams discipline or any of those things. This is the formula for.....continued failure! This is the crack and red bull formula. What quality recruit wants to play for that coach, that school...sad, sad, day.

WSSU is as screwed now as it was when they extended boulwares contract! Since they wont do whats right, we have to force them! We are going to be the butt of all football jokrs in D2 FOOTBALL. just a bunch of unmotivated losers running the program!! Im out. Call me when they get a new coach, ad, chancellor.

WSSU - We hire losers! We hire DCs that give up 70 points to the fourth ranked division team. The formula for champions! What a joke!!

They are on crack and red bull over there.  He don't deserve a chance.  How many chances should he be given? We need to go after the AD and chancellor.  Nothing from me until Massey gone! Nothing!

JcSU is one of those programs where it is less about the coach and more about the AD and the resources. The basketball coach is the AD and as long as that is the case foitball will alwaus be second fiddle in resources. It will not really matter who gets the job. They wont be there for long.

Oldschool,

I hear you and agree with most but I will remain optimistic that Massey will be gone. To me an exit from the present is needed for the future.  I won't have a stroke because I don't care that much in reality but it that happens it speaks volumes to me about the people running the program.  It is what it is.  I have choices for my money.  I can just give to the academic programs and keep it moving.  Peace.

Oldschool, Chowan has vstate and lincoln. I see a split. I see 3-4 in conf. And 6-4 overall. Not a team that should be able to put 70 on you as a defensive coach. Maybe at some other school but if we accept that we don't really care about anything except being CIAA-good! Not me.

A reasonable price should be about $120k. Should be plenty good coaches that want to make a name for themselves via wssu.

I hope we do hire someone with a good football background, worked a couple of non-ciaa programs and can bring excitement, discipline and organization to the program. Above all else the person must be a strong leader of men. Young and brash is fine with me because the last two have older and weaker. Massey is a good DB coach but no HC.

The AD was not in that first group of interviews but with the re-advertisement of the position.

I won't be surprised if they find a reason to keep him but it still does not change my opinion. Think you got money problems now, keep him and see how difficult it will be to raise football money.
