Sports Forum / Re: D2 Regional Rankings - Nov 06
« on: November 08, 2017, 05:06:46 PM »
To qualify for the D2 Playoffs a teamn must have played 8 games against division 2 opponents, and Ten games total (regardless of division) during the regular season.  Tuskegee meets this criteria. We played 10 games total including 8 D2 opponents, and 2 FCS opponents.  The SIAC championship will make it 11 games total, and 9 D2 opponents.

^^^The first three? Much more rock... even country rock oriented. That was Hodder and Baxter. Denny Dias was into C&W too.

Becker and Fagen were DEEP into ja-- and Fagen was as much a blues man as he was a Ja-- man.

If you listen to both "Two Against Nature" AND "Everything Must Go" you'll hear a SERIOUS Ja--/Blues fusion with a lot of FUNK thrown in for good measure.

I love ALL their stuff... from the beginning to the end.

And while I ALSO love Fagens solo work just as much, Beckers solo projects were straight GARBAGE.

I mean, when he titled his first solo album "11 Tracks of Wack" he wasn't kidding.

But in listening to Fagen's NYC Trilogy + 1 (The Nightfly, Kamakiriad, Morph The Cat, and Sunken Condos) you hear EVERYTHING that you love and loved about Steely Dan. The spare but complicated arrangements, tight composition, beautiful instrumentation, FANTASTIC performances, Fagen's nasal but emotive vocals, and thought provoking lyrics.

His work without Becker is as good as he work WITH him, but that doesn't negate Becker's contribution to one of the greatest musical collaborations of adult life.

"11 Tracks of Wack" had to grow on me.  I don't listen to it often, but there were a few tracks on there that I liked.

I'm listening to my playlist with the Albums "Katy Lied", "Royal Scam", "Aja", and "Gaucho" now.  But I like those earlier albums also, especially "Countdown to Ecstasy"

Tuskegee vs. Miles has definitely grown into a Hot rivalry in the last few years! In the last several meetings the visiting team has one each matchup. Hopefully that will end this year.  ;D

Just watched the "Better Call Saul" episode of Breaking Bad last night. Jimmy is all-in corrupt by the time of Breaking Bad! It'll be interesting to see his progression to how he got there!

Really enjoy this show. Finally caught up on season 2 on Netflix last week. Great characters and clever writing. Darkly humorous!

Having said that...I know this is a "Breaking Bad" prequel and that show got all kinds of accolades, but it never held my interest. I've tried watching that show several times and I always lose interest.

Maybe I'll give it a try again soon.

well that's interesting.  So you've never gotten past season 1 on BB ?

Yes through Season 1 is as far as I've gotten.

I watched the first episode and enjoyed it.

I also looked up their website. They own three locations and employ 20+ Vets at those locations plus staff!

I've heard the Lonzo Ball hype of course, but I hadn't seen him play. That dude is the real deal!
