I see excuses and miscalculations. Hampton isn't going to win in the Big South in the 3 major sports ( Football , M Basketball , W Basketball) They will be a middle of the road if that.

The grass ain't always greener i tell you

I totally agree...

Congrats A&T!  Great for the MEAC too.

Interesting - I am surprised at ECU. But I did see that NCCU and NCAT were on their list of main competition for students along with NCSU, UNC-CH, UNC-Charlotte,UNC-G ...We are all fighting for some of the same students. NCCU and A&T are not just competing against each other for top and mid-range Black students in the state and beyond. It is WAR!

Raasean Davis has spent the last two seasons bullying big men in the MEAC.

Now the North Carolina Central big man is looking to show that he can compete on the next level. Davis worked out with the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday and is set to work out with the Washington Wizards early next month.

Not one aggies said congratulations.  Guess they are still bitter after all those butt whippings from us.  :snicker

1st off congrats. But why are you worried about us? Your record is 21-24 and currently 3rd in the MEAC South standings. Seems like you have bigger issues than A&T

We beat the #1 team, you could at least congratulate us.  But no, not you aggies.  Thanks for that half congrats.

#1 team of what. UNC isn't the #1 team in D1 softball, nor are they the best in the ACC. You won a game. Good.  Congratulations. Now win the MEAC

They were a TOP 25 team...

RIP Charles - a fallen Eagle.

Yes, Tulane is a higher profile institution (academically and athletically) and much richer than GA State too.  GA State is a growing once commuter school.

Best wishes to Coach Moton if he decides to move on.  It is not always greener on the other side.

Go Eagle Nation...

A tough loss for NCCU...Proud of the Eagles!

NORFOLK, Va. (AP/WNCN) — North Carolina Central got no style points in winning its third consecutive Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference championship. Coach LeVelle Moton figured in advance that that might be the case: In a regular season meeting, Norfolk State beat the Eagles in overtime.

"Typical championship game," Moton said after his team's 50-47 victory against top-seeded Norfolk State on Saturday. "We knew we were going to be in for a dogfight. ... This is what we do it for, man."

For NCCU, it's the first time in school history the Eagles have secured three straight NCAA Tournament bids. The Eagles also became the first MEAC team to win three straight tournament titles since North Carolina A&T won seven straight from 1982-88.

N.C. Central: will await its NCAA Tournament destination.

Norfolk State: will play in the NIT as league regular-season champions.
