I have reviewed your posts. I can't see what you are questioning nor what I said that was questioned. I could not be from Atlanta without having friends from Tuskegee. I am glad to see them playing Hampton again. My high school buddies went to what was then Clark College, Hampton, Morehouse, Morris Brown and Tuskegee and that was it. I wish Tuskegee well. I hope when they are D1 that they continue to play "Da House".

I have quite a history of attending NCCU games. Before coming to Durham, I was a season ticket holder at The University of Michigan for three years. I attended the Tuskegee-Morehouse Classics when it was still the Columbus Classic. What is it that I am missing or do not understand?

After the SIAC was rated the best D11 conference in the nation, I stopped being a critic. We also have the same geographical footprint as the Gulf South Conference which may be the best football playing D11 conference in the nation. Most of us don't have to travel far for games. When you are thinking about trying to beat Valdosta State, West Alabama, and West Georgia, it gives you a different mindset. The question is what do you have to gain? Tuskegee is in the same state with two SWAC schools that they are use to playing. Things are different with them.

Why would Albany or SC State want to join the SWAC?

Legend has it that is exactly what Birmingham millionaire AG Gaston said when his third grade teacher corrected his grammer at a banquet in his honor.

Amen, Amen. What's with this stupidity?

He won nine NBA championships with them.

I would disagree with Atlanta being included in that mix. Cee dog is absolutely correct. As I told a friend at church today, Durham, North Carolina is larger than the second biggest city in Georgia. Years ago when the state legislature would not challenge Atlanta on bus integration, a white legislator  said "we can't tell those people in Atlanta what to do, we need their tax revenue to run our schools". Nothing has changed in the 60 years since then. Atlanta still has the business airport in the world, not just the US. When the state of Georgia port authority tried to take over the airport, (we can run it better), it was a revenue grab and nothing more. They have not been able to substantially expand shipping volume at the port of Savannah. Like it or not, the airport is quite well run.

I though that federal law specificially forbid county mounties from parolling the interstate. This is specificually the jurisdiction of the highway patrol. This was to prevent the locals from making speed traps out of the interstate highway system.

Howard has to do what is best for Howard. They have always been the real HU. There was never a Howard College. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. I thought that their big rival was Morgan State University.

Back in the day, they had two maroon station wagons that they bussed the basketball and track teams in. But in modern times when I am on campus, I have seen nothing but a police car that said Morehouse College.

I can't speak for Ivan, but I think that might be track and field. Thanks to track and field and cross country we use to win all of the SIAC best men's program awards. Then Benedict started eating our lunch. The team this year appears to be better. But we have no sprinters. That might not be enough to best Benedict. I do like the fact that other SIAC schools appear to be giving some support to cross country and track and field.

That is great to know. I lived on Fountain Drive over looking the Booker T. Washington football field and track. Walking to school, I use to pass a group of younger boys I knew who were often on the front porch of a house on the side of the field harmonizing. The were the future Pips, Glady's Knight backgroud group. They were her cousins and brother.
