Antifa was a term that was not in American speech until used by Fox News and especially Jesse Waters and Shaun Hennessey two to three years ago. In the 1920's and early 1930's, it referred to Fascists (The National Socialist Party) and Communists  both of which were autocratic right winged groups. Now they got black people saying it.

There is nothing more stupid than the statement "Antifa was there". It is now used by the true right wing to paint any protest or protest group organization including the NAACP as being "on the left" or left winged.

I applaud Mayor Bottoms for keeping her police in place. I thought that the police response in Minneapolis was inept. What kind of message did car after car of police cars leaving the precinct in Minneapolis send? The police were nowhere to be seen. Their absence was what was responsible for what happened later in Minneapolis and elsewhere across the nation.

This is not going to happen. I saw a interview with LSU's head football coach this morning. He is calling the team to campus for "involuntary" workouts on June 8th and you can assume that every other big time program is doing the same thing.

A bigger problem for the MEAC is that there is no incentive for Virginia State or Bowie to leave the CIAA and join.

Two years ago, FVSU came into BT Harvy against a 7-0 Morehouse team with a graduate transfer linesman from Morehouse. He lived in our backfield. After help spoiling our homecoming, he came cross field and locked arms with his Morehouse former teammates and sung the alma mata.

I think that this article says it all. His supporters are the great "underclass" who admire him because he can "do it and get away with it" which is what they would like to be able to do. He makes them feel good at his rallies.

I read something about a movement to make Arlington a National memorial to Robert E. Lee. Something about him being a outstanding person. Has anyone heard anything about this? This would be something that really cannot be allowed to happen.

Stephen said it for me.

I saw the slave cabin, but I did not learn that until I was in my twenties.
Franky I always thought that they were kind of quiet about it and a lot more out their apologetic attitude towards the old south. I am glad that time has passed. I also thought that it was quite cool that the Union quarter master General was a native Virginian whose son had been killed in the war. He hated Robert E. Lee and buried Union dead there to make certain that he never farmed there again.

I am really looking forward to this. It was General Grant and not General Lee who had a respect for human life. The patrician southern aristocrat did not mind sending his soldiers forward to be mowed down. The first time I visited Arlington Nation Cemetery, I was surprised to discover that the big columned building overlooking the cemetary was the Custis-Lee House and the cemetery was built on his plantation and his former home that he obtained in his marriage to Mary Custis, a cousin of George Washington.

You hit it on the head Bison for Life. One of my young cousins graduated from the US Air Force Academy and married his white roommate's sister. His son did exactly the same thing twenty something years later. What we are proud of is that they both finished the US Air Force Academy. Who cares about her white husband.

Fox News is the issue. I watch it to see what the other side is thinking. Whatever you think of Roger Ailes, he knew how to make money and Fox
News is his product. If you want a more balanced view of the conservative point of few with less propaganda, One American News is a better choice.

We have the best president ever. We know it because he said it.

Wayne State University is located right in the heart of Detroit and has a sizable black enrollment, but it has never been predomenty back.

Shaw College at Detroit was predominantly black. It closed in 1983. I doubt very seriously if a new one can be established there.
