Shawn Walker will not be retained as the MBB Coach at GSU. I would look for Donte Jackson out of Stillman College to be his possible replacement.

Well well.... I knew it day 1! Don't fret he's a damn good Coach! I hate APR got them this next season and can't go post season but they'll fix that too!

Since the schools merged I've heard some trifling stuff. Got a friend who had two sons on baseball team and both lost their roster spot after helping ASU capture the SIAC Championship the year before last.

Sports Forum / Tuskegee SID Leaves for ASU
« on: January 25, 2017, 08:51:45 AM »
Tuskegee SID Travis Jarome left TU for Alabama State! This guy did one heck of a job recreating TUs website and sports information in general. I do hope the next SID for TU also keeps the videos, audio and live stats that Jarome brought to TU.

A great pickup for Bama State!

Just looked at the FVSU Schedule and yes the next game scheduled for FVSU was cancelled.  I noticed that Kris Bell did not appear in the last box score at SSU but is still listed on their roster. I really don't think he was trying to really hurt him that way and no one can predict how a person will land but it was definitely a flagrant foul and one worthy of a suspension.  As for the guy who ran onto the court to assault the FVSU Player he should have been arrested immediately.

Sports Forum / Re: Colin Kaepernick Didn't Vote in the Election
« on: November 10, 2016, 04:02:32 PM »
Yup he along with less than 50% of the AA population didn't vote. Which was the medicine that Chump needed to win. I said along time ago when Bernie Sanders showed up at the convention wanting to get his message across that it would fracture the votes for the Dems and boy did it ever. I am independent but had to vote for HC who was the only true candidate in this election. We reap what we sow or what we don't. I actually have 3 BS supporters in my office 2 wrote themselves in and the other voted for Trump out of disdain that BS wasn't the candidate he actually then said when he voted for Trump he didn't think he would win - pure ignorance.  Now folks want to start the marching protests if you didn't vote sit the hell down somewhere and if your Kapernick stand the F up since your protests don't mean a damn thing.

Not so fast Mr. Campbell you are the one who ultimately approves the schedule of the football team ahead of the season so it's your fault you didn't schedule the requisite amount of games in the first place.  It's unsat to sit up and just blame ASU for not playing the game knowing full well they are salty they lost to FVSU for a chance to play in the title game.  Just keeping it real!

Statement regarding November 12th football contest

Nov. 07, 2016 Football
TUSKEGEE, Ala. | Albany State University informed Tuskegee University last night that they will not honor their agreement to play the Golden Tigers on November 12. During negotiations last week, both Albany State and Fort Valley State University agreed to host Tuskegee depending on which team lost their game on November 5.

"I am very disappointed in Albany State's decision not to honor their agreement," Tuskegee University Athletic Director Curtis Campbell said. "As members of the SIAC, we must be able to trust the word of a member institution."

Both institutions (ASU and FVSU) were aware of the importance of this game to Tuskegee, who must now secure another opponent at this very late date, while also appealing the denied waiver request by the NCAA.

Tuskegee University will release the location and time of Saturday's game as soon as all necessary arrangements have been finalized.

I'm not surprised at all. There is nothing in it for ASU plus IMO I think Albany thought they were going to beat FVSU.  TU looks bad, the conference looks bad and now Albany St looks bad. Whomever made the decision at Albany to play the game should have talked to the football team ahead of time.
