That's because they stole our coach.   :nono2: The coach that was winning the CIAA Women's Track and Cross Country every year while at WSSU.

Wow, I didn't know the Coach came from Winston.  I guess when Bennett went to FSU he brought and/or convinced nearly everyone at Winston to come to FSU with him.  Very Interesting.

I'm not feeling the tournament this year and not because of the teams.  I have gone every year it has been in Charlotte but I'm passing this year.  I went last year and I didn't enjoy it like I usually do.  Everything felt different.  I decided I would save myself $1200 or so and pass this year to get ready for Baltimore next year.  I have to go to Baltimore the first year just to check it out.

I was glad to see my boy, Kwe Parker have a good game last night.  He looked like the old Kwe.  He went from a high school team playing with Theo Pinson, Harry Giles, Brandon Childress and others to the University of Tennessee to Cape Fear Community College to NC A&T.

I'm so proud of my Lady Broncos.

You should be. They have come a long way very fast.

Yeah, thanks for posting.  I didn't know about this.  I'll put it on my bucket list.

St Aug made a huge comeback to even be competitive.  The final score was St Aug 153-VA State 153.  Came down to the 4x400 last event.  St Aug won and got 10 points.  VA State finished 4th and got five points to force the tie.  St Aug might have won it outright but apparently the best sprinter with the best time in the conference in the 200 meters got hurt.  I think he pulled a hammie out the blocks and walked the rest of the way and finished last.  He picked up one point which turned out to be crucial.  If he had not gotten that one point VA State would have won the title outright by one point.  Anyhow and even with the co-champion title, St Aug maintains its current streak of 23 straight indoor championships.  On the women's side Fayetteville State's Lady Broncos won the title.  The Lady Falcons finished second.  Congratulations to the Lady Broncos.  They have come a long ways mighty fast.  About 3 or 4 years ago they did even have a team and now they are winning championships.

Glad Coach made it through and continues to make full recovery.

Am I missing something here?  The Big South Conference is not a big deal.  They are not a real step-up from the MEAC.  They have 11 schools and only four play football.  They have small mostly not widely known of schools.  What's the big deal?  If your're going to move up at least try to get into the AAC with East Carolina, Memphis, UConn, Houston, etc.  I just don't get it.

Fantastic news.  I hope some of that $50 mil makes its way to Raleigh, NC.  St Aug and Shaw U could use a few dollars.

Are the Broncos really that good? I haven't seen them play yet.  I plan to go to the game Wednesday when they play Virginia State and my man Lonnie Blow.  Just curious.  They have pretty much the same players.  Did the coaching change make that much of a difference?  I welcome your comments.
