NO< it's not time to ban the NCAA handshake. Its time to stop acting like a fool. I saw on the replay a JCSU player do something to the face of a WSSU player. If he cut him he should be locked up and prosecuted for assault with a weapon. There is no place for that behavior!
There are no excuses. I'm not dishearteningly throwing in the towel, but elated at the potential of this young squad. I'll just say "IF YOU GET US, YOU BETTER DO IT NOW!" WE HAVE A GOOD SQUAD, VERY GOOD , but its that cycle that happens to all eventually and we have the right guy to overcome and get it done. This program has shown it will play their players, new or old. So many new enthusiastic faces caring for teammates with affection is the start of something big. Have your fun but read this again later. We are on the MOVE Yes we still have quirks that need fixing and they will be repaired but I see a bright future for these guys. CHARACTER AND UNSELFISHNESS will rule. STAY TUNED! Sorry if you happen to disagree-but this is my call as I see it.
Just not for the juvenile B/S replete on the board from certain interest. Your wanting to down your neighbors at every turn doesn't wash with me. Call it as I see it. Some of us are so far behind - we look around seeing no competition- thinking then they are ahead. NO, I don't knock my fellow HBCU that have been knocked for years by the press and some look for any instance to criticize and enhance that self fulfilling prophesy laid upon you from hundreds of years of press that many believe the worst in print to be true. Jay Walker was right to say what he said about a rival (athletically) institution and praised them on national TV. What is wrong about getting the word out about the positives going on on our yards. Someone having a problem with that, has a problem. Stay in that hole, not getting in with you. Maybe you haven't notice the atmosphere lately. Some will survive, some will not. Where will your school be in 2050. HATE A&T? Put your list of HBCU Institutions (the only place our grandparent, parents, cousins could attend in this region of this country) you hate so bad you want them to fail.Attendance: 16,567 ON A FREAKING THURS .........

Saw the game today against BCU. That first year QB looks like he may be a good replacement. If Newton is gone I'm sure the bisons appreciated his selecting Howard University. Hoping for his continued success on the gridiron at wherever and in life.

How does the conference make money?
They were there inside the gates watching the game on the tube eating and partaking Attendances are counted at the entry gates since they pay whether they get out of lawn chairs to enter stadium or stay put that's counted. The Aggies have a good running game with an experienced QB at the helm which translates to - having the capability of being in the hunt for conference champs . Yes, too, the Morrill Act of 1891 extension gave them enough land to expand and grow. As J Walker said, its a collegial looking campus, the largest HBCU in the country and winners academically and athletically. How can you envy that? Thats called GROWTH. That shouldn't bother MEAC or SWAC school posters because you either grow or get off the porch and complain. You know the part that is refreshing is H Martin, the chancellor, isn't using other HBCU as a yardstick, but blazing his own trail competing with PWC for students and programs. FAMU years ago with Humphrey started that too but that barrels of crabs in Florida intervened with weak leadership (C BRYANT) which will not happen in AGGIELAND. KEEP your eyes on NCCU too. We are quietly making progress. Not mad at them at all. Only a loser would envy another persons progress. SEEYAH Seriously, why do others resent praise of an HBCU on national TV.
Let him talk. ECSU would not have scored had not the referees taken over on that drive with a flag on every play. They were helped in not producing a goose egg. This was the worse called game since we left the CIAA. Flags, flags on every other play. It as if the stripes did not want NCCU to run up the score. When our coach refused to run or throw with 4 minutes left in the game , we knew it was not to embarrass the visitors. Thats fine, however , you don't turn the switch off the machine, when the opponent received a slew of obvious help yesterday at every turn. NCCU taking all those knees to run the clock out was too obvious , gracious , classy but turning off the switch It mattered not to coach the margin of victory with 40 being enough I assume. They could have beaten this team 75-0 but what would that prove. It was hoohum in the stands and they were leaving early anyway. IT was a dull game, but the freshman QB is learning and he spreads that ball to many receivers. The number of freshman playing was "WOW". Its a young team!

Dawson delivery on the air is very good. Impressive.

Hope NCCU doesn't follow. Noble but forgettaboutit.
Close counts in horseshoes. True we have lost 3 games to teams that have a slew of veteran players which is their space at this juncture in the time scheme of football. Disappointed but not dejected. We are building a team again in that inevitable rollercoaster cycle coaches and teams endure if they stay around long enough and losing a winning coach who foresaw this coming and got the hell out of Dodge when he graduated the former coaches players taking a top player with him.. The card pulled by the current coach wasn't what the former inherited from his predecessor. and the current coach has to rebuild a program- not stumbling into a winning situation needing a ball and whistle on the field replete with talent to manage which is what had to be done. We will be fine in the long run. We hired the right guy that loves NCCU. I'm patient as can be. ECSU will come to play Saturday. All I can say is this "NCCU is a young team that will not quit." We are banged up a bit.
Lets not be hard on this young man. He gave us one game but never was he a Stafford Brown or Malcolm Bell. Was happy to see the addition of the 3 QB recruited because of past injuries to both and one with a IFFY attitude at that position. Maybe too, another school may be in need of that calibre (dual) QB that has shown glimpses of brilliance. The starting QB Zander had 50% completions at APSU and would have been higher had receivers not mishandled passes thrown to them. Traveling man had a 37%.completion rate but he threw a TD. Neither had a great game but one QUIT because of not starting or maybe not feeling the new staff. Players say he had problems last year with prior staff too. He's a great guy to be around, according to players, competitive with twinges of being egotistical which IMO and theirs was good. He is a good guy overall. Here is hoping he matches well with some school giving their fans and his teammates the thrills he capably showed against Howard U. He will always be an EAGLE in my eyes and hope all ends well for him and his career.Good riddance on the ability that decided he didn't want to be an EAGLE. He cleaned out his locker at one point last year and the coach at the time accepted him back to the team.
