Am I the only person that has a problem with their school playing culinary schools and Bible colleges and then celebrating as if we've done something fantastic when we win by 40 to 50 even 60 points.
Does the school really expect to pack their facility and make money to support non revenue sports. Who want to see those games. There should be no reason not to put a Dll game in the place of those games. Maybe I'm missing something, :police: but I assure you I'm not the only one out to lunch with this scenario.

I have to agree with you. I’d rather us play WSSU or even JCSU than carver bible college. we could replace those games with games this against quality mid-majors and help our RPI. One game maybe but 3/4 that doesn’t help us none and they players don’t get quality looks at competition. It’s gonna cost your program more money to play them than anything.

The viewership has consistently been the highest of all FCS post-season games and consistently increasing. So basically we're confused about what needs to be figured out.

I understand that we are doing well terms of FCS viewership. The thought is if we’re in the FBS realm in terms of attendance if we can get into FBS realm in terms of eyeballs we have leverage for better sponsorship dollars going forward.

Kudos to the CB, once we figure out how to increase television viewership we’ll be cooking.

Good job from both bands.  :tongue2:  JSU has been one of my favorite HBCU bands for a long time.  They truly did not disappoint.  I hate that the Eagle band program is rebuilding.  Hope we are able to find a director soon.  Maybe the assistant from JSU?

NCCU ain’t rebuilding ish.. the university wants a small band.

This must be the case.

It is, NCCU doesn’t have a standard or vision for the band. That’s why it looks the way it does year after year regardless of directors.

Sad.  We had it going well under Dr. Reid.  This is one of his bands at Central.

We had it going under Chancellor Ammons, not too long after we got Chancellor Nelms the band slowly eroded and Reid was let go. You can’t build jack without your chancellor having a vision/plan…

I don't understand why the current leadership doesn't understand that having a good-quality band would increase the school's image and attendance at football games. The investment will pay off.

It isn’t just the current admin… these are academicians and some don’t have a clue about marketing & branding or the importance of good Athletics & band programs….

I will say from top to bottom the MEAC has some really good coaches… I think every coach has won championships as a head coach.

Folks are hilarious acting like Maynor can't coach. Maynor could win the CAA. Unfortunately the QB from Miami didn't work out for us because of mental health issues. His system requires a good QB. If you look at that Troy St game who won the Sunbelt conference you would see even with bad QB play he coached a heck of a game. We got to the RedZone but our QBs threw three interceptions. We actually moved the ball on them better than SWAC teams. Also our compliance office didn't help him either. We got over 36 transfers in, but half them didn't become eligible until the end of the season. I'm sure A&T is ahead of us on that issue. Also it's easier to get white lineman in Carolina to come to your school then white boys in Sippi, Bama or Arkansas.

I don’t think it’s that people don’t think Maynor can coach, I think it’s that Sam Washington had way more accolades and was given the boot… what gives the impression that Maynor would be an upgrade over Washington?

A&T would fire Sam Washington for Connell Maynor???

JSU based our whole existence off of that Campbell game and what did it get them?

Question:  were student tickets sold outside of the campus allotment?   Did we price them out?

Nope the university bought a block of tickets for students I think they are bringing 150-200 students for this game.

I wonder when we are going to name our next band director.

If it ain’t him I wouldn’t bet surprised if they named the young lady from Hillside that’s now at NCCU in the music department….
