When you graduate coaches want your money to give to a young player unless you were a star and helped them win.  That's why you see so many graduate transfers, they don't have the option of staying.

i don't agree that that's the reason most graduates transfer.  but if coaches do do that, it sends a very "negative" message to the rest of the team that the coaches will "snatch" your scholarship away even though you still have one year of eligibility remaining.

coaches want their players to be "loyal" to the program, they preach "loyalty" all the time.  well, players want their coaches to be "loyal" too!  you snatch away somebody's scholarship just because they are not a starter is a very poor message to send to your team...

I hear what you are saying and yes in some cases that is true but take note of how many 5th year seniors you see on rosters at the QB position.  It appears coaches take the approach if you not really getting it done by year 4 its time to move on as, imho, that appears to be happening.

Appears how? NCCU only has like 7 seniors in the team. Your suggestion that the coaches wanted his scholarship money because of his classification is crazy. He say they were bringing in more QBs and weighted his options and left. NCCU has more than enough scholarships lol... They aren't DII

You still showing by your statements you don't know anything about how college football, D1 or D2 works.

That whole statement is bulls**t...  :brickwall:

He didn't want to compete.

Ridiculous!  What has been doing for the last 4 years but competing!  I guess everyone that transfers does not want to compete...let me see...Kelly Bryant, Kyler Murray, Justin Fields, Tate Martell and the list goes on.  I guess they did not want to compete either.  Looks like he is in good company.  You have no idea what you are talking about.

No one else finds this ridiculous?

What would you suggest is a good solution?

Does the conference set the schedule in the CIAA?  If so, then how in the world did they not consider double booking when setting the schedule?  Why couldn't Shaw set their homecoming for the end of September against Ed Waters?

Shaw only has four home games including the pseudo-home game against St. Augs; so I understand they are trying to give them home games.  However, they are the ones renting the stadium and should be the ones inconvenienced by double-booked weekends.  Now, St. Aug has to play WSSU as a road team for a second year instead.

If I were a St. Aug season tix holder I'd be pissed.  We should have five home games.

Shaw/St Aug fans speak on it.

What he said :brickwall: :brickwall:

So Lawrence Kershaw will be the OC? It should be a step up from Natrone Means, who was an awful play caller.

Do any of you Rams think we will we be better this year? I think we will only lose one or two games. I have heard that we have some very talented linemen coming in as transfers. Our skill players are already very good.

I think we will be a more disciplined team.  Play calling will not be done by OJT OC's anymore.  We will be better.  Can't say how much.  OLine is a real question mark no matter how talented, they have not played together.  That should be a concern.

The rumor mill has it that a QB from NCCU is transferring to WSSU. Anyone heard about that?

Who has the advantage in the MEAC-SWAC challenge?

He definitely killed us!!!!!  Along with some stupidity...…………..

Can't game plan for stupidity.  We tend to have it in abundance!!

This is Hayes 3rd year at FSU. He had success earlier than expected. They are the team to beat in the south for now. Have we hired Nymore coaches or we still got only 5?

SSU will win conference title for 2019 season.  I called it!

:lmao:keeping it 100, i would not play A&T anytime soon. We got a hot coaching mess, a hot AD mess and possibly a hot chancellor mess (pure speculation on that last one). The point is we have to get our house in order before getting drug down the field! I personally could care less about playing A&T but we have some who just cant avoid wanting that game. Now is definately not the time unless you care nothing about winning the game. If you dont have a reasonable chance of winning no need to play. The pay day is not worth the reputational damage imho. :nono2:
