i didn't really care who won the championship until the toronto fans "cheered" when durant got hurt.  so now i'm disappointed that toronto won because of that.  it was in very poor taste for toronto's fans to "cheer" when a guy goes down with a serious injury like that and it rubbed me the wrong way... >:(
Oh get off the soapbox. That was a reaction of passion in the moment.

that wasn't no reaction of passion, that was just flatout "poor sportsmanship" and there's no excuse for it.  even toronto's players had to wave their own fans down because it was in such poor taste.

ain't no soapbox.  how would you have felt if the georgia bulldog fans had "cheered" when southern's devon gales got injured?  bet you wouldn't have said it was a "reaction of passion".  not only didn't georgia's fans cheer when gales got injured, they were such a "class act" that they financially supported that young man both on and off the football field.

now that's what i call a "class act" georgia's fans.  but toronto's fans were just the opposite, they were "classless"...
Actually the Georgia player who he ran into that cause his injury, stood over him and gloated about the block in the moment of passion. Before  he realized just how serious the situation was.  Perfect example of the point I was making. Thanks I had actually forgotten about that.

Anymore questions that need clarification?

we're not talking about "players".  of course players are in the heat of the moment, but fans aren't.  trust me, if georgia's fans had "cheered" when gales got injured, you wouldn't be talking 'bout no doggone "reaction of passion" and you know it.  so you can stop putting on that "act"...

what!!!  we don't even have a gm right now, but we need to dump dwight howard and ian mahinmi's contracts.  i don't see nobody taking on wall's contract, especially since he's out indefinitely with an achilles injury.  beal was suppose to be "off limits" since he still doesn't have a "max" contract...
Yeah they are stuck with that Wall contract. Unfortunately the only way to see any relief is to move your beat assets Bradley Beal.

if the lakers sent lonzo to the wizards, what da heck are they gone do with wall?  wall is a far better player than lonzo, lonzo would have to be a "backup" unless the wizards trade wall but i don't see another franchise taking on the contract that wall has, especially since he's injured.

reportedly the lakers don't wanna trade kuzma, so this deal probably ain't going nowhere...
Smh....did you actually read what you just quoted?

yes, point being they can't move wall and the lakers don't wanna trade kuzma.  so the deal ain't going nowhere...

wow, at first i thought the "paul bryant" that ewc hired may have been the son or grandson of bama's hall of fame football coach, paul "the bear" bryant.  but then, i figured bear bryant would be rolling over in his grave if that were true...

Four of the seven goal scorers yesterday scored their very first World Cup goal. They should celebrate that achievement.

Go to work tomorrow and score a goal past the woman in HR. That is equivalent to what they did.

None of the thai players are professionals. Most are sales women for companies in Bangkok and Pattaya City. What they did was nothing to be celebrating.

hey, where i grew up, the saying goes;

if a team is "celebrating" on you, then either stop them from scoring or stfu...

technically, it could've been considered an "assualt".  his actions were totally "uncalled for".  i just don't understand the minds of folk who are like that...

Hope NCA&T can hold on to Coach Ross for a while.

This!

very "likely" that he'll stay at least another 4 years because his all american "son" just signed out of high school to attend a&t next school year.  not guaranteed but its a good chance that he'll stay put at least until his son graduates...

That's just the way the TIDE ROLL...

true, but clemson has now "humbled" bama.  if bama ain't careful, clemson might surpass their azzzzes as the premier bcs "powerhouse" program.  the momentum is heading in that direction...
Good observation Clemson is Bama least worry.. :tiptoe:

i wouldn't be too sure of that.  not only did clemson "dominate" bama in this year's bcf championship game beating the tide "44-16", but clemson currently has a pretty decent lead over bama for the top 2020 recruiting class in bcf football.  that's a position that normally belongs to bama "hands down" every year.

trust me, bama has an eye on clemson.  after taking that "44-16" beatdown, they had better be keeping an eye on the tigers...

Sports Forum / Re: NCAA moving 3-point line back for next season
« on: June 06, 2019, 01:25:24 PM »
If they were going to move it, move it to the NBA range.

That 1-3/4 inches part is just ridiculous.  Just whole numbers please.

a lot of basketball courts are already "confusing" by having multiple 3 point lines marked on the floor.  no other league has an even 22 foot line, so adding a flat 22 foot line would make it even more confusing.  nobody else uses that length so you'd potentially have 3 or 4 three point lines marked on some courts...

i like the change.  the previous 3 point line has become "too easy" thanks to steph curry who single handedly made 3 point shooting "more popular" amongst all players.  and yes, a lot of college players who don't make the nba play overseas.  "plenty" of hbcu players play ball overseas.

not that i think the line should've been moved back because of international play, but in conjunction with the previous 3 point line being "too easy", moving the line back to the international line makes perfect sense...
