Sports Forum / Why JSU Spring Losses are A Good Thing
« on: April 04, 2021, 11:58:42 AM »
1) Other HBCU players, coaches, and schools are getting incredible shine!
2) The SWAC is all-around shining as a strong and competitive conference brand.
3) Coach Prime is earning an old fashioned HBCU graduate degree in coaching.
4) JSU is realizing how intensely they will have to re-build in the offseason.
5) Things will be much more interesting in the fall when it is really on!

Sports Forum / HBCU Spring Football 2022
« on: March 29, 2021, 11:12:41 PM »
First, HBCUs should NOT give up fall football, BUT in addition to fall football and instead of a spring "scrimmage" game, should HBCUs play an abbreviated maybe 3-game spring season in 2022? From this spring, it seems the increased exposure and revenues have huge potential for us!

Sports Forum / Will Tallahassee Derail JSU and Prime
« on: March 27, 2021, 08:50:44 AM »
No I’m not talking about FSU. For the doubters, Prime ainte going nowhere but taking JSU and the SWAC to the top! What I’m talking about is FAMU. FAMU is the other newcomer to the SWAC that will be JSU’s big obstacle out the gate. When all of JSU’s “dogs” line up in the fall, it’s gonna go from 3rd to 5th gear really fast and some gonna catch whiplash. There will be some real battles in the SWAC campaign, but those Rattlers, watch those Rattlers in the grass...Who is talking about the Rattlers of Tallahassee??

The Orange Blossom Classic will be “the game”!

All jokes aside, Congrats JSU, I see ya'll down there still rocking!

Sports Forum / Why Coach Prime Will Be at JSU for at Least Four Years
« on: March 06, 2021, 04:52:29 PM »
First congrats to JSU for knocking off the G-Men in their House.

Second JSU better go get a 1-Star kicker if they want to be champions!
Finally Coach Prime will see his son Shedeur to graduation best believe that.

This young man may be one of Jackson State's biggest impact players, watch SWAC.

Sports Forum / Can MEAC Baseball Automatic Qualifier Be Rescued?
« on: June 30, 2020, 04:18:55 PM »
I noticed on HBCUGameday that the MEAC baseball schools will now lose their automatic qualifier for the NCAA tournament. This doesn't affect Howard, but can the conference expand in order to keep these MEAC baseball programs competing for the NCAA tournament? What are the best options?

Norfolk State
North Carolina Central
Delaware State
Coppin State
Maryland Eastern Shore

Sports Forum / Is Return to D2 MEAC's Best Option for Survival
« on: June 19, 2020, 09:58:30 PM »
Bethune-Cookman, NC Central, SC State and Howard will all possibly be leaving.

That will leave MEAC with only 5 schools in VA, MD and DE.

Is the best option for MEAC survival to return to D2 and pick up CIAA North schools such as Bowie State, Virginia State, Virginia Union, Elizabeth City State or Lincoln?
