I think this is a mistake, but if he's not really into getting a college degree, then he might as well..............

If y'all hadn't seen it earlier today, my alma mater had a story written about the new track being installed. It's not as good as it COULD have been, but it will have to suffice for now................

Well, the NCAA track and field championships begin on Wednesday in Eugene, and I thought this would be a good way to start it off. The Greensboro News and Observer took this deep dive into the A&T program from their chances to win the championship(s), to how coach Ross built the program to what it is currently, and also the university's COMMITTMENT to having a top notch program. Great read! Good luck to the Aggies this week!

By the way, if you've not had a chance to check out the new Hayward field at Univ of Oregon, then check this out! This is where the NCAA championships as well as Olympic Trials will be held. :o

Sports Forum / NCA&T 4x4 Relay - 3:00.23 at the Texas Relays!
« on: March 28, 2021, 02:20:34 AM »
Did y'all see that race today?! :o

I knew they'd probably have a good chance of running under 3 minutes this season, considering their indoor 4x4 time. But I didn't expect this fast in their FIRST outdoor race! Wow!

Had my first coloscopy today.

Just want to say, if anyone is putting it off GET IT DONE. Colon Cancer is deadly and easily treatable if caught early! I had one polyp removed......................................at least that's what I was told. LOL!

I guess I could get frustrated about Herschel Walker and his "Trump is not racist", but I actually just feel sorry for him. He's just not a very astute person.

Hey y'all, I just wanted to pass along that I was just awarded tenure at Cal State University Northridge this month! It's been a long time coming and I thought I'd share that here in the forum. Many of you remember when I first got on this forum when I was in grad school back in '99 at LSU. So, I wanted my Onnidan "family" to know I finally made it!

Meet Dr Kizzmekia Corbett, NIH fellow and the lead scientist working on a vaccine for Covid-19. Although not an HBCU graduate she IS a graduate of UMBC's Myerhoff Scholar's program, which for YEARS has been advancing students through STEM programs and placing them into graduate and professional school in the sciences.

I subscribe to the National Archives Youtube Channel. Today on my timeline they posted some vintage motion picture of George Washington Carver, including scenes from Tuskegee University (including a football game). The footage is from 80 years ago but, is EXTREMELY well preserved. Y'all should check it out. The footage of Tuskegee is around midway through the film................

As I'd said yesterday, after Morehouse being the #1 seed and losing to the #8 seed, at home no less, and Claflin's 26 point loss to the #7 seed Barry, I think the SIAC needs to do some serious soul-searching in terms of the quality of our basketball.

Something that many already thought, but was made plain today, is that the SIAC isn't that great in basketball........................and perhaps our records (Morehouse, Claflin, CAU) are inflated as a result of playing mostly teams from the conference (although we did have some notable out of conference wins). So,it's either that, or the SSC is vastly superior to the SIAC. Although, in all honestly the Gulf South didn't show that well either.
