I have always felt this way for a long time about professional athletes. Does it really take them making this much money "to play sports"? Its halfway a privilege to play sports. Why the pay? And then we wonder why we are facing a Recession in 2020? I mean thousands of professional athletes making this amount of money "playing sports"...

This is a big conversation I like to have with the Baby boomer generation. They seem to give the millenials the hardest time/ have biased feelings when it comes to the understanding and expectations of achieving socially, financially, and just overall with the way they did when they were younger in my humble opinion. Gen X, which is the next one up from the Millineals seem to have just dodged the bullet by a hair.
With rising student debt, incredible rate of inflation over the years, rises in cost of living, decline in good paying jobs/careers, the economy rising, and just so many other factors. I think millinieals really got dealt a bad hand when it was time for us to hit the ground running like prior generations.
What do you all think?
