I said that Shaw's basketball victory was not a upset. But "da House" did look like a good team to me in the CIAA-SIAC challenge and especially when you knew that two starters had not returned to the team from injuries and football practice. So now that they are back, what has happened to the team? Whitfield their best rebounder did not play yesterday and one of their best scorers played only one minute. And the shooting was...worse than bad.
I asked them if the SIAC rule of live stats meant live stats only if they had to follow it? I did not expect a reply and did not get one. The game announcer's always told you what was going on. As I told my friend Miles BearI, we don't complain about losing teams. We don't complain about anything and they know it.
"Thankyou for your contribution on "giving Tuesday". We doubled last year's record, They are good at that.

We know that we have some informed and influential people on this forum. But that one so high up would give a detailed response and put her name to it says that we are being read and and we have some influence as well.
If you do, can you please get them to stream the game on Saturday? I have already put in my two bits worth and don't think that it was apreciated. We follow the conference's direction and employ SL0PORTS or whatever it is and pay to get less than what we had before. Attendance was listed as 27,519 last year for homecoming. They change things up like we will force more people to come out. It does not work that way. Some of us do go for the game and not the street carnival and don't live in Atlanta. I have been going to Birmingham for the basketball tournament and I have to make some choices.
A belated congratuations to my friends from the "Valley". Opening against Florida A and M was a tough way to start, but
I always thought that all they needed was self confidence.
In view of what is happening with Charlotte and the CIAA, maybe it is time to give a shout out to the city of Birmingham and their support of the SIAC. There must be a reason that the SWAC is moving their tournament back. I don't think there is any money involved, but they do make you feel welcome.

Sad as I am, I must congratulate Paine College. Miles Bear I, I will not be seeing you on March 2nd after all. There has been some exciting basketball played at this tournament. Even those of us on the losing end must admit that.

Your team looked good MB!. I don't complain about officials, but these stunk. The Morehouse coach ejected and three technicals. How often is a coach ejected? For those who have implied otherwise, neither CAU nor Morehouse have any undue influence in the SIAC. I have never seen officiating so bad and lopsided. Miles would have won regardless. They have a good team with their new coach.
Is this game being streamed? I don't want to sound like a broken record because I brought this subject up once before about the SIAC Basketball tournament. It seems to me that the game is not being given any publicity by the conference offices.
My two favorite teams got together and my number one got beat by my number two. Yesterday's game proves one thing. Never give up. No one thought that Morehouse would come back from a 21-2 halftime deficit to take the lead with a little over three minutes left in the game. And who would deny that the winning touchdown run on the ensuring kickoff was electrifying.
I could be wrong, but I think that FVSU had the most difficult schedule in D11 football. I thought all alone that FVSU had a young talented team that needed only playing time and experience. IF any FVSU fan has planned to skip the Fountain City Classic, think again. I think this game is going to be a barn burner.

Would this help add some perspective to things? Their first game was cancelled (weather). In South Dakota State's only game played against Montana State they won 45-14. Saturday against DII number eight ranked University of West Alabama, Valdosta State won 58-24.
