Dennis Thomas is poised to try and throw a monkey wrench into the proceedings today. He is on schedule to speak during the comment period of the trustees meeting. He will try and dispute the numbers that are in the report. His conference is set to lose revenue by this move, so he will probably go all in.
About seven years late.

They can go elsewhere but they are contractually bound to Charlotte. Hope the city sues if they violate the contract.
Never understood why Charlotte's mayor and democrat controlled city council pursued the RNC anyways? Doesn't make sense when NC is considered a purple state?

Basically it is a move by colleges to control money raised by alumni. I'd rather have association control because the college does not always make the best decisions with alumni money. They use it to cover their own shortcomings.
The other side of it, is that alumni associations are not always in lockstep with alumni affairs office and can engage in questionable behavior. They can leverage the university's name/brand, but not suffer consequences if they make mistakes.

How can they in good concious sit idly by at these so called press conferences allow Trump to lie and give out information could actually kill Americans?
Just shameful. Nothing but happy talk. She has not pushed back on any of Trump lies. She is complicit with Trump. She has absolutely no credibility.
Their facial expressions and movements as Mr. President is fielding questions and giving some of his wild responses/opinions is telling.
