I don't think this transfer will hurt us one bit, it hasn't in the past. Each year coach Moton pulls players out of the sky, and somehow we wind up in the finals of the MEAC or either in the NCAA Tournament. I'm confident that another point guard will come to Durham and takeover from where Wright left off.

From a fans perspective it might be a little confusing because it doesn't give us time to really get to know the players.  One of my recent favorites was the kid who had the biblical name; light-skinned point-guard, thin in stature, but the guy was a scoring machine.  It's even hard to follow them after they leave the nest. (I still can't figure out his name).  We will be alright.

From NCCU? You might be thinking about Nimrod Hilliard IV. Loved his game. If we had him for 3/4 years? Maaaaan

When the city of Charlotte let the CIAA and QCBOTB walk out the door and replaced with the Big South Tournament that told me everything I needed to know about they felt about predominately black events. If they ever try to get the CIAA back Charlotte I hope the CIAA taxes their arses like they did black folk with hotel rooms, bars, restaurants taxes.

Charlotte didn't let the CIAA go. The city submitted a bid, however the Council of Presidents opted for the bid from Baltimore.

Also the Big South did not replace the CIAA. Lol, not even  ACC can do that. The BSC is headquartered here so it's not uncommon for them to have championships and media events in the Charlotte region.

The city of Charlotte lowballed the CIAA which forced the council of presidents to take the Baltimore bid. How do you explained losing the battle of the bands? You

I hope Talladega can use athletics and the band to help propel the university forward and grow. Much kudos to them if their leadership actually has a plan for it all, that’s the first step. Some of our schools D1 to naia don’t even have that much.

Am I the only person that has a problem with their school playing culinary schools and Bible colleges and then celebrating as if we've done something fantastic when we win by 40 to 50 even 60 points.
Does the school really expect to pack their facility and make money to support non revenue sports. Who want to see those games. There should be no reason not to put a Dll game in the place of those games. Maybe I'm missing something, :police: but I assure you I'm not the only one out to lunch with this scenario.

I have to agree with you. I’d rather us play WSSU or even JCSU than carver bible college. we could replace those games with games this against quality mid-majors and help our RPI. One game maybe but 3/4 that doesn’t help us none and they players don’t get quality looks at competition. It’s gonna cost your program more money to play them than anything.

The viewership has consistently been the highest of all FCS post-season games and consistently increasing. So basically we're confused about what needs to be figured out.

I understand that we are doing well terms of FCS viewership. The thought is if we’re in the FBS realm in terms of attendance if we can get into FBS realm in terms of eyeballs we have leverage for better sponsorship dollars going forward.

Kudos to the CB, once we figure out how to increase television viewership we’ll be cooking.

Good job from both bands.  :tongue2:  JSU has been one of my favorite HBCU bands for a long time.  They truly did not disappoint.  I hate that the Eagle band program is rebuilding.  Hope we are able to find a director soon.  Maybe the assistant from JSU?

NCCU ain’t rebuilding ish.. the university wants a small band.

This must be the case.

It is, NCCU doesn’t have a standard or vision for the band. That’s why it looks the way it does year after year regardless of directors.

Sad.  We had it going well under Dr. Reid.  This is one of his bands at Central.

We had it going under Chancellor Ammons, not too long after we got Chancellor Nelms the band slowly eroded and Reid was let go. You can’t build jack without your chancellor having a vision/plan…

I don't understand why the current leadership doesn't understand that having a good-quality band would increase the school's image and attendance at football games. The investment will pay off.

It isn’t just the current admin… these are academicians and some don’t have a clue about marketing & branding or the importance of good Athletics & band programs….
