So, in essence, Trump is telling the states they’re on their own.  That’s not a strategy the “United States of America” would ever pursue. Kind of makes me wonder if we’re still a country.

I don’t believe in bailing out corporations.  They always seem to give the public the middle finger after we have bailed them out.

Politics / Unite the Country Evicerates Trump in New Ad

Unite the Country is a Pro-Biden Super Pac.  The video never even mentions Biden.  I think this ad sums it up perfectly.

If these idiots chose to listen to Trump giving medical advice, that’s their fault.  They know this man lies for the sake of lying.

That will be difficult for Trump to do.    For one, Congress would have to change federal law, enacted since 1845.  Even if Congress passes a law that would allow a president to cancel or postpone a general election, that law would be challenged in the courts.

Even after that, there’s a constitutional issue at play: “The Constitution mandates that the new Congress must be sworn in on Jan. 3, and that the new president’s term must begin on Jan. 20. Those dates cannot be changed just by the passage of normal legislation.”

I’m a Boomer as well, so I understand the significance of the Coronavirus and what that means for me.  If I offended anyone by my previous post, my apologies.

Some people may not realize it, but this crisis really exposed the empty suit in the Oval Office. He is incapable of leading this nation during a crisis.  Until recently, Trump’s plan was to simply pretend the virus didn’t exist... a “hoax,” he calls it.  Valuable time was lost.  As a result, people who didn’t have to die, will.  Because of his arrogance, stupidity and his overall detachment from reality, he has failed.  And it’s on full display for the entire world to see.

Politics / CHECK AND MATE (BIDEN WINS MICHIGAN)
« on: March 11, 2020, 07:22:12 PM »
I agree. Sanders is ready to wind the campaign down. I think he was directing Joe Biden to the bridge leading to his supporters during his press conference.  He knows it’s over. His supporters know it’s over.

Joe Biden has crushed Bernie in almost every state he has won.  In Michigan, Mississippi and Missouri, Joe Biden won every single county.  He did that in one or two more states as well.  He is beating Bernie so bad in Mississippi, Bernie is below the 15% threshold to receive delegates.  Biden could very well walk away with all of Mississippi’s Delegates.

Joe Biden won every single demographic that Hillary struggled to with, except younger voters.  Bernie has under performed in every single state , even in the ones he was able to win.  I think Michael Moore made a good point about the political climate.  He said Democrats are focused on getting rid of Trump.  Bernie Sanders want to get rid of the system.  That’s too much to ask of voters.

Getting rid of Trump and taking back the Senate is a top priority.  Voters are not in the mood for rolling the dice and taking a chance on a self described Democratic Socialist.   It can even be argued that a lot of Bernie supporters in 2016 were a result of anti-Hillary sentiments.  Take her out the equation, it’s not even close.

Biden is the best candidate to defeat Trump.   African-American voters, suburban women, women in general, moderates and working class voters are apart of his coalition.  You can probably add a significant percentage of the Latino voters as well(self preservation) once we get to the General Election.    It’s all going to come down how much support can Joe get from working class voters.
