General Discussion Forum / Re: Does neatness count?
« on: Yesterday at 08:28:29 PM »
soflo^^^dont know about your granddaughter, but do join the  consensus here that “neatness counts.

Having said that, the way you describe your household in the lead post is a tad intimidating. No disrespect, Big homie, but you remind me of my late mother-in-law. When you sat on her sofas - all covered by sofa protectors of course - she would watch you like a hawk. Once you got up from the sofa, you had to make sure everything was neat and orderly as it was before you sat yo’ black az.z down…………..YIKES!!  :o

 ;D
I hated to date a girl whose folks had plastic on the couch.  The living room was the only place in the house the girl could receive company. Since most did not have air conditioning back then it would make you sweat like a pig and stick to your back.

While I'm flattered (I think) that you would think that would be me, I was too scared of that 6-foot woman at my house to do anything that would get me in trouble at school.

Heck my first few weeks at AAMU I wasn't going to my 8 am classes because I was either too hungover or too high to get up that early. One morning at 7 am while I was lying in bed my door opened and there stood my Momma and she wasn't a happy camper.  It took over 2 hours to get there (65 wasn't open yet, 79 to 231) she was probably up at 3 to get there by 7.  Unbeknownst to me, she had given her number to the dean who ratted me out. Needless to say, I never missed another morning class. But I agree that might be Cee.

Thanks

All I can think is that it was something they did not want the public to know about. You only hear that term used for really old people. Ok I just looked it up and a natural cause death is basically death certificate lingo.

Quote
What is the immediate cause of death in natural death?

For example, on a death certificate where the manner of death is listed as natural, the immediate cause of death could be a tear in the heart wall that happened minutes before death, and the underlying causes could be a heart attack or heart disease that took place in the days, months and years before death.

That explanation makes little sense because the way they explain it, a natural death is one that happens because of an internal event of the past. That describes every internal event death.
What I got from it was he was not killed, but died for some health reason.

All Morris has to do is tell his story of the difficulties he faced while pursuing his dream.
Or he can tell them how as a teen father he was recruited to play college football but got gunned down in an alley on his way back from the store.

  Now someone tell me what happened against Sacred Heart because I missed the game.  This should have been a winnable game for the Lady Jags if they played as they did in the tournament.

Soror J!!!

AB has played Katherine Jackson, Tina Turner, Betty Shaba--, Coretta Scott King and even Rosa Parks! She's been Queen Romanda and elevated Tyler Perry scripts. She has RANGE! And has a body of work.

And if she felt snubbed and didn't feel like clapping, she shouldn't have.
Even with this excellent body of work you pointed out, she won't be nominated until she shows some T&A or plays some vile character.   We've already seen how they did Halle and Denzell.

You may as well scratch Norfolk State's WBB off the list as well.  A major upset for them would be if they can score 50 points.  Even if Dawn calls the dogs off early it will still be ugly because her third stringers would be starters at most other schools.  I was shocked Benedict was able to score 32 points on them in the exhibition game. Even with Dawn pulling the starters in the first quarter they score 123 points. Clemson, Charleston Southern, and East Tenn State all scored less than Benedict.

THE MILITARY LIFE IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.  AGREED.
True, and I guess that's why Y never joined the military and joined the Air Taxi instead. :tiptoe:

I have seen OC (pepper spray) make people do a lot of things, call Jesus, catch the Holy Ghost, and call their Momma, but never have I seen it make someone do a backflip. :lmao:  I remember the first time I got hit in the face with OC, I was a bad man for three seconds, and the next thing I knew I was on the ground in a fetal position trying to breathe. I had never experience a burning like that in my life.

Agreed. My son had suggested the same thing to me.  That is the one way that I would like to see them back in the Atlanta area. For those of you who don't know College Park, Georgia. it is the location of the Tyler Perry Studios, which was formerly Fort McPherson, the headquarter of the US 3rd Army. Supposedly the Rev. Dollar is going to build a mega church on what had formerly been army property. The AU center is nearby. There are places where you cross the street and you are in Atlanta. The airport is actually in College Park. There would be hard to find a better location.
A good place for the who?  The swac or SIAC.
Definitely not the SWAC.  As long as Bartow Arena welcomes us it will be there.  I prefer Bill Harris but there is a conflict with our tournament time.
