« on: February 28, 2019, 06:57:45 PM »

Unfortunately we have sad news to report about an old school TV actor. Nathaniel Taylor, known to millions around the world as “Rollo” from the classic comedy series “Sanford and Son,” has passed away. He was 80.

According to his friend, entertainer/promoter Alonzo Williams, Taylor suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized on Saturday (02-23-19). He transitioned yesterday (02-27-19). He would have celebrated his 81st birthday next month on March 31.

The Lady Bulldogs have had a great season, the 12 wins are the most since the 2004-05 season and their trip to the conference tournament is the first in over a decade for the program. "Brick by Brick, we are building something here at Wilberforceand this is just the beginning." said Head Coach Derek Williams.

Charlottesville police are investigating a violent encounter with a knife on Charlottesville's Downtown Mall.  The incident took place in the 100 block of East Main Street just before 6 p.m. on Friday, December 28.

The encounter was caught on eyewitness video, which made its way to Twitter shortly after.  In the video you see a white man holding a black man at knife point.

Actually, the Kentucky Colonels were mostly a playoff team... they were quite good at times.

But, I know the point is that the Cavaliers are now irrelavant... the balance of power is really in the west...

Kinda quick to pull the plug on Lue though...

On it's face, 90-0 does seem excessive... Joe Taylor has the reputation as being a man of high character. He is AD, not Head Coach. He may well have had a conversation with the Head Coach after the game. So, maybe the focus should be on those directly involved
with the game...

Thought she had been living in Richmond VA in recent years... she did pet health tips on one of the local tv stations... had moved there because her mother had settled in Richmond...

I think that it's great VUL is looking to grow, but isn't it more important to offer a quality education?

Simple question: why hasn't the AME Church stepped up to help its institutions?

Has to be Ain't No Way...

But... there are several favorites on her "Amazing Grace" album. Going to have to dig out her "Aretha sings the Blues" album... Good songs on that also...
