Do you guys know the words to your school song or fight song?  I had to learn both when I was crab in the Sonic Boom.  Feel free to post a video clip of either one.

Cheer Boys For Jackson:

Cheer Boys for Jackson, Jackson Will Win
Cheer Boys for Jackson, Never Give In
You do your best boys, We will do the rest boys
Cheer Boys for Victory (Fight, Fight, Fight!)

Jackson Fair, Jackson Dear:

Jackson Fair, Jackson Dear
Thee I love, My dear ole college home
Thee I love, Where ever I may roam
Jackson Fair, Jackson Dear

(men)Hail, Hail to Thee
(ladies) Yes, Hail to Thee
(men)Yes, Hail to Thee
(ladies)Yes, Hail to Thee (COGIC harmony) *repeat*

(all) Hail to the college of my heart!

71st School Song

Live for her honor, work for her fame.

We pledge devotion to her name.

Seventy-First her colors red and white,

Leads forth her sons and daughters in the right.

71st Fight Song

Fight Falcons up to the sky
Fight Falcons never say die
V-I-C-T-O-R-Y-
71ST HIGH

Fayetteville State's School Song is about as long as "War and Peace."  They can't just sing the first verse.  They have to sing all four long verses.

If Fayetteville State has a fight song it's news to me.

THE NCCU ALMA MATER

I
The sloping hills, the verdant green,
The lovely blossoms' beauteous sheen
Surround our college proud and gay,
Where wave our colors, Maroon and Gray.
What matters it how far we roam?
Our thoughts will oft return to home,
And hearts will e'er be true to thee,
Our Alma Mater, N.C.C.

Refrain :
Then Rah! Rah! Rah! For our colors so gay!
Dear old N.C.C.'s Maroon and Gray;
Thy sons and daughters will honor thee,
Dear old N.C.C.

II
We've gathered here to fit our lives,
As from the darkness light revives,
So let us hail, both night and day,
Our glorious colors, Maroon and Gray.
We'll ever love and honor thee,
For thou hast taught us loyalty.
Then let our watchword “service” be,
To Alma Mater, N.C.C.

III
You send us forth with hearts of love;
So like a blessing from above,
And from the path we'll never stray,
Our dear Alma Mater, Maroon and Gray.
We'll work and fight, we'll win our way.
When duty calls, we shall obey.
And may we e'er return to thee,
Our Alma Mater, N.C.C!

SHaw U Alma Mater

Hail dear ole Shaw U,
Thy sons revere thy name
Long shall thy works be proud, undimmed thy fame
Time shall thy praises sing, glory repay thy tears
And loud thy praises ring through all the years

Noble thy hallways
Noble thy grassy plains
Nobler the hearts of men, where thou dost reign
All we who love thy name, stout heart that shall not fail
All rise and loud proclaim,
ALMA MATER HAIL!

(I had to sing this thing for extra credit in Intermediate Accounting tore it up LITERALLY I think the professor took points away for my rendention it was 8:00am and my voice hadn't quite made it to campus yet  no)

NORTH CAROLINA A&T ALMA MATER

Dear A&T, Dear A&T, a monument indeed,
Around thy base with grateful hearts behold thy students kneel,
We bless the power that gave thee birth to help us in our need,
We’ll ever strive while here on earth all loyalty to yield.

REFRAIN
With joy, with joy, dear A&T, thy students turn from thee
To spread thy trophies year by year from Dare to Cherokee.

Dear A&T, Dear A&T, the signet thou shall be,
Set by our great old commonwealth, proud boaster of the free;
She’ll have the record of her worth on granite not inscribed-
Nay, let the children of her birth proclaim it by their lives.

Dear A&T, Dear A&T, henceforth our aim shall be,
By precepts wise and deeds more sure to bless the State through thee;
The arts of industry to wield against an idle foe
A harvest rich from ripened fields or what thy students sow.

The Tuskegee Song
In honor of Tuskegee University's 25th Anniversary in 1906, Paul Laurence Dunbar was asked by Founder, Booker T. Washington, to write a poem capturing the Tuskegee spirit. The following words were authored by Dunbar, America's most famous Black poet at the time, in compliance with Washington's request. A melody suggested by Dunbar was replaced at a later time by the present tune composed by Nathaniel Clark Smith, Tuskegee University Band Director (1906-1913).

The Tuskegee Song
by Paul Laurence Dunbar

I

Tuskegee, thou pride of the swift growing South
We pay thee our homage today
For the worth of thy teaching, the joy of thy care;
And the good we have known 'neath thy sway.
Oh, long-striving mother of diligent sons
And of daughters whose strength is their pride,
We will love thee forever and ever shall walk
Thro' the oncoming years at thy side.

II

Thy Hand we have held up the difficult steeps,
When painful and slow was the pace,
And onward and upward we've labored with thee
For the glory of God and our race.
The fields smile to greet us, the forests are glad,
The ring of the anvil and hoe
Have a music as thrilling and sweet as a harp
Which thou taught us to hear and to know.

III

Oh, mother Tuskegee, thou shinest today
As a gem in the fairest of lands;
Thou gavest the Heav'n-blessed power to see
The worth of our minds and our hands.
We thank thee, we bless thee, we pray for thee years
Imploring with grateful accord,
Full fruit for thy striving, time longer to strive,
Sweet love and true labor's reward.

Alma Mater
“Dear Southern” bow Cry

O Southern, Dear Southern, Thy praises we shall sing,
Until all the heavens and echoes loudly ring.
The winds and the sky as they pass us by
Will Adoration bring.

O Southern, Dear Southern, We owe our all to Thee,
In downfall or vict’ry, We’ll always loyal be.
Thy Sons and Daughters as they work,
Will be inspired by Thee.

O Southern, Dear Southern, Thy name will ever be,
As mighty as the rivers that flow on to the sea,
As pure and true as the Gold and Blue,
That stand out bold for Thee.

Southern University Fight Song.... clap clap clap clap

Southern University
Defender of the gold and blue
We will always loyal be
And raise a cheer for you.
All for one and one for all
We’ve got the will to win for thee
And We’ll FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT....
Til we win the victory.

Alma Mater

Alabama A&M
Rich in Heritage divine
Bless’d by the life of Councill brave
Who gave his all that thou might’st shine.

Many thy brave and loyal sons
Sent from thy shrine on Normal’s Hill
Filled with a zeal for tasks well done
Anxious thy mandates to fulfill.

Long may you live to bless the world
For right and justice take a stand
As from your rocky heights you view
Your children’s work throughout the land.

Chorus
Alma Mater, blest be thy name.
Long live thy fame; long live thy fame!

"Stand up and cheer,

cheer loud and long for dear 'ol Normal."

For today we raise,

the maroon above all others."

"Our no-ble team now,

is fighting hard to win the fray,

we have the vim, we're sure to win,

FOR THIS IS DEAR 'OL NORMAL'S DAY,

Fight, Fight, Fight!"
